C'mon $150 for Dycer who played about 3 games last year is good value. I saw him at Yank this year and Cook kicked 8 kicked on him, should fit in nicely at the bay. Fergusson would be the other which is worrying for the Saints, who I think are in massive trouble. I heard they have picked up 5 gun players but thats no good if your locals are jumping off.

"Saints in massive trouble" wouldn't think thats enitrely true footy05, but it will certainly be hard to replace the Fergusson and Daycer types, who are 0 pointers. We now have to spend points that were not allocated to replace them. This will be a our problem for next 5 years. Right at this point we could probably sign 7-12 players but that isn't possible due to the points system. Maybe there should some form of compensation points wise to replenish 0 pointers that are lost for various reasons? I like the system and it looks like it will be good in time, but I worry that the clubs in the bottom half cant manage to survive over that lengthy time frame.

Is the 5 gun players accurate LF? If it is that's a pretty good start. You can't complain too much if you've been able to pick up 5 genuine guns.

Haha who is telling you this BFG? I have given up coaching for next season but I hope to get back into it in with in the next few years, this choice was made after the end of last year when I had only played very few games in 08 and in 09 will be looking to be in good shape and play some decent footy.
Did a certain WOG tell you I was going to Willunga? I have gone to play with him before and he let me down.

Seems as tho a few Jervois players are on the move to the GSFL or at least entertaining the idea. Without naming names ive heard from a few sources that some South Coast clubs are requesting the services of some quality players.

Be good for the GSFL and these clubs if these players do arrive!

TW you would be silly to rely on the superwog for anything but a dam good time!!!! :supz: :partyman:

Dont think we have officially signed anyone yet. I think we are in a jam with our points, trying to work out which direction to go, but I'm hearing some recognisable names who would be good players in the GSFL.

Thats enough thankyou. Would the bottleshop worker / pro golfer please stop posting under 15 different user names! I would think that with Dennis on board the Hirst boys would be at Goolwa.

Shane Fox was just in for his morning tea with me and we were talking footy, out of possible moves hills league was never mentioned. Maybe he is keeping something from me but after try to lure him to play with us he tells me he is yet to make a choice.

Seems like someone is has too much free time. I have not spoken to any hills clubs about 09, considering Bridges is on the panel at Goolwa he wont be going, Dustin Hirst is a big fan of Simon and has said he is staying on for sure and wont ever leave, I think you will find Leigh will hang around and is also a fan of Simon. Ryan Fox is over seas and if back in time will play along side Shane. So no more speculation please.

Shane Fox would be a fantastic acquisition for any club.
The total package, can run all day, hard as nails & gets in and gets the hard ball. Footy smarts, may need to reign in the temper a touch but as far as football brains go they don't come much better credentialled. hits targets & is versatile. Has been out of the game intermittently but has kept himself ticking over by coaching, etc, knows his stuff.
Is he limiting himself within the GSFL or looking further abroad?

It would be interesting to know which Jervois players are "entertaining the idea".

My guess would be the Rigney brothers, Ewer, Jagadonik, and maybe Schmidt.
