Good news! Am interested to hear who they are.

Hows things with the new coach going Cuzzy? Positives from the playing group?

Footy season is just too far away at the minute!!!

playing group is happy with a change and mitchell comes with some quality experiences. He has put an emphasis on how important it is to keep the club local by wanted an experienced local to be his assistant coach with the A grade and the B grade stayin local also.

It has also prompted some good signs with several other ex bay players from the linton bishop years indicating they would like to return to the club next year. which is great for the club as it wont take away the points which new recruits would.

McLean and Rolfe are not coming back. McLean had the whole club offered to him this season to come back and declined. Must stop looking in the past!

I couldn't help but notice that every new coach says they want to emphasise on playing local players and developing the juniors, it's getting boring hearing that, of course that is the best way to go and that is why all coaches are doing this but be inventive and state another way that you are going take the club to the finals and premiership glory eg, pre-season work, new game plan, finding new roles for players, building the comradery etc...just had to get that of my chest!!! :D

I've played against both Guitnik & Hams, quality players in their own right.
But there is not a snowflake's hope in hell that Guitnik will force Hams out of the side!!
Biggest piece of tripe i've heard in a long time. Hams IS Willunga! & will be for the next 3-4 years if he wants to keep running around.

Any truth to the rumours about Bachmann back at McLarens?
Or Shane Fox giving up the coaching career to sneak in a flag at Willunga?

ohh definatly not comparing walker with hams, just implying that its happened before and 3 years ago is a lot of time to develop. And no not saying that he will either it just seems every 1 is righting him off already some people might be bitting their tounges in a few months. I say goodluck to the young fella I hope he does turn some heads!

Not directly footy related but heard there was a bit of extreme drama at one of the pubs in Victor the other night. Hope they catch those involved.

C'mon $150 for Dycer who played about 3 games last year is good value. I saw him at Yank this year and Cook kicked 8 kicked on him, should fit in nicely at the bay. Fergusson would be the other which is worrying for the Saints, who I think are in massive trouble. I heard they have picked up 5 gun players but thats no good if your locals are jumping off.

"Saints in massive trouble" wouldn't think thats enitrely true footy05, but it will certainly be hard to replace the Fergusson and Daycer types, who are 0 pointers. We now have to spend points that were not allocated to replace them. This will be a our problem for next 5 years. Right at this point we could probably sign 7-12 players but that isn't possible due to the points system. Maybe there should some form of compensation points wise to replenish 0 pointers that are lost for various reasons? I like the system and it looks like it will be good in time, but I worry that the clubs in the bottom half cant manage to survive over that lengthy time frame.
