My mail is that he will be, but thats been my mail all along. I can confirm he was at the "meet the coaches" night.

Does this mean you may lob into Victor Harbor aswell TW?

I have had a talk with them BJ but still very unsure what 09 will bring for me, it's only November so plenty of time to decide and after the weekend just gone we could have a car load go upto Loxton on weekends.

It doesn't matter if your 0 points, B Grade players do not apply to the system. On other news, heard over the weekend that Johnny Jared has stitched up a nice deal down the South East as a player / assitant coach.

LF you said in a post that you do not see any wholesale changes to GSFL executive for 2009.
Rumour around the GSFL is that if Lucas goes Curran and Prior are spitting the dummy.
That would make BIG changes!

HAHA Well then that doesnt say alot for the saints quality then does it, I am sure if I play in 09 it will be A grade LF.
After Johns efforts on his last trip down the S/E I didnt think he would be allowed back in the region, what happened to his role in the county at Maccy?

I ment if I am a certin B grader it doesnt say alot for saints/strath's past talent then. I am sure Simon has alot of extremely good quality contacts and with the local talent should be great in 09 if all commit, Simon will get the best out of everyone I would think. If they can go back to Black and White things will be even better.

I think Simon Dennis will be good for the club and after last season I hope the excitement will be tempered, although it does look promising.

It does look very positive and Simon will no doubt be doing everything possible to continue to turn things around and become a compedative club on and off the ground with in the GSFL. With the new committee in and Simon as coach I for one will be thinking very long and hard about if I will move on or continue playing in 09.
Most of last years hype was talked up by people from the likes of this forum and around the GSFL hearing about recruits and possible recruits that caused all the hype, I dont think Saints players and members expected things to do a full 360 over summer like some of the talk was. They did improve on 07 and again will look to improve in 09 but once again you cant expect to take a club from bottom to top 3 over one summer. Rome was not built in a day was it.

I am going to ask probably a dumb question here then 8-[

So what does that mean... the GSFL go out and ask the clubs who they are supporting... or... do they just send along a representative/s from each club and they vote that way on the night.... and you've just 'heard' Toughcall that Goolwa will be supporting Lucas??

O:)

Re The GSFL Presidency.
Just like clubs it is sometimes hard to find a President for the Club.
In the GSFL this year the current President is Herman Lucas and I am pretty sure for the last few years he has been elected unoposed.
8 or 10 weeks ago Gordon Tonkin made it known that he was going to run for President.

Since then both he and Herman have been canvassing clubs to see which way they will vote.
I believe there is one vote per club.
The way I see it
Herman has the support of
Willunga, McLaren, Encounter Bay, Goolwa and maybe Compass

Gordon has the support of
Langhornes, Strath

Not sure about, Victor, Yank and Myponga

How accurate is your mail on these votes Magoo?
I was told Herman had Willunga nominate him and either Goolwa or Compass second it, then Gordy had Strath nominate him and Victor second him leaving Creeks a certin vote for Gordy. Last i heard was Bays to go Gordy, Goolwa unsure, Compass Gordy, Yank ??, Myponga ??

The Bays will certainly go with Herman as if he goes so will Curran.
If Gordon gets up the new secretary will be from Strathalbyn is my mail.

I would have thought Compass would go with Herman.
Yank have been toing and froing all over the place..for against both of them.

Guess we will know tonight
