Not sure the bottom 4 clubs would be going after huge signings. With pongy and victor spending around $5k a week (maybe more??), they wouldn’t catch up anyway. Better off just ticking over and not being involved in the bidding wars. Goolwa with 5 blokes at $1000 each, probably could be a shot at 5th but that’s not good finance management
Looking at the sides in's and outs, my guess would be Victor might be saving $ with all 3 leaving would have been getting something plus fuel for 3 v's 1? Aren't all their players basically locals or returning locals? I know a lot of them from around the place, and they are all mates from Colts days. They're where we were in the 2000's
Victor definitely paying well over cap. Boyd and Guilhaus shopped themselves around at $1500 each per game. I know for a fact a few clubs in GSFL including Myponga said can’t do that, outside cap. Sure enough turn up at Victor. Rang around their other players to get stories straight when sanfl cam knocking. I spoke to one of those players directly. Mr Levy won’t look to hard given his home club.
Someone I know close to Myponga said that they pay inline with the cap, talking to the auditors almost weekly making sure all is in order. Rod Mitchell also has an unblemished record of doing it by the book.
Everyone will speculate and make assumptions. Victor with everyone on the park will be a formidable team. Won’t be surprised if Haines rocks up there too. If you’re going to have a dip, may as well go all in! Will be a fascinating season 2024
Your whole post shows how very little you actually know. Lol

Your ignorance makes me laugh. Having spoken to players directly involved I know what I know. Also know that Mr H Bruce is on well over the cap to play Creeks.. Ask me how I know that as well

If it’s so above board, put it out there then. Don’t name names but give us the breakdown.
5 @ $500 and the rest on $0?
12 on $200 and the rest on $0?
25 on $100?
Or….just don’t lie. You look really silly suggesting that the squad on paper is contracted at $2500 or less.

Shillabeer and Wilkins will be huge in's for Pongy, on top of the 2 ex AFL listed players Butcher and Kennedy they already have.
Word around town is Gibbs will only be playing 5-6 games, and if last years SANFL draw is similar to this year, that looks about right. So their one fulltime recruit is Heaslip and they've lost Reece Mutch, Lach Borillo, Brad Borillo and Tom Neville.
Gibson, Gamble and Hurrell will be great for EB, hope to see the Eagles climb the ladder.
Lachy Matthews would be a welcome addition back to McLaren, in an already very good side
I'm hearing Pub whispers that Hoffman might be returning to Willunga, which would be a handy in for them too.

Get real Turfie. As if I’d tell the world that. You apparently know it all already anyway [emoji23]
Lie? You’re the one slinging mud with no facts.
You need to realise that the semi final side VH put on the field this year had 14 guys that played junior footy at the club.
The other 7:
Bartram- captain- 7 years at VH. Loves VH so much he moved to town!
Ross- 5th season at vh
Mutch- 3rd season at Vh
R Kleinig- came to play with his vice captain brother who’s been at VH for 11 years.
J Cooper- came to play with his mates and brother Kane who’s been at vh for 7 years.
Wiese- came with Ross and Fletcher who returned from Kangarilla to play with his mates.
Miller- 2nd year at Vh (came to play at a club with decent culture with his mates)
Try doing that with some other sides- Pongy for example, have a look at the recruits they put on the park each week.
The salary cap rises next year, and so far there are 4 out and 2 new signings for 2024….
Heaslip. His close mates play at VH. His partner plays netball at VH. His dad is president of the Roos club.
Gibbs. His dad is a VHFC legend. Bryce spent his Saturdays as a kid at vh- was even our waterboy! He obviously won’t be playing every week with his SAFC commitments.
So many of them played in junior flags together and have come back to play for their local club they love, hungry for success with their mates. Of course there is money involved for some of them. But most could get a shit load more elsewhere. Not everyone is driven by the $.
It’s beyond me why victor are copping these accusations. We are talking about a side full of local guys who finished 4th and have managed to sign 2 quality players and lost 4. Is it just jealousy of seeing a fantastic strategy well implemented starting to pay dividends?

No posts for a month! Did all the clubs get their lists sorted early?
I doubt it. Anyone have any news?
Victor have trials against Flaggies and Noarlunga again I believe.

Any ladder predictions. Living in TTGully I don't have a real feel to try and go first.
Pongy lost a few players.
Hope they have enough good kids coming through lower grades
