I agree M.C. the biggest loser out of this is the Myponga Football Club as the word gets around quickly and will work against them. If they struggle now with recruits then what is this going to do for future signings. maybe they need to look at why they cannot keep players at the club and work on that.
No one wins out of a situation like this and Im sure Princi could do without the interuption

Although it was only the Saints 1st trial, the report certainly is not positive. Got a big touch up at the hands of Mt Barker (who looked ok) to the tune of about 15-20 goals, plenty of injury concerns and a poor turn out to the club afterwards. There is a long way to go. On a positive note the junior grades went well and the B grade were competitive, which is good consdering the lack of training. Doyle and Dunbar looked at home in the magoos!

Langhorne Creek had a good trial against Keith yesterday. All the youngsters played really well and I think the scoreboard had the hawks up by 4 or 5 goals at the end of the 6 quarters.

Reports coming out of Keith were that Langhorne Creek were well down at the end of the A's and went on and won the B's convincingly. Also said that Langhorne Creek had a very young and even side and were in fine form in the Keith local Saturday night.

Kappers= Waaayne Kerr. I was talking to a very good friend of mine yesterday whom told me some of the crap you say around the place ie : that Rodney Eade rang you and asked you to be Ryan Griffens personal trainer when he is in town (pal you have your hand on it) i must let you know because i dont think you have the inteligence to work it out yourself:careful what you say and whom you say it to as it may come back and bit you in a big way. The other thing pal whilst i am on it you should be supporting the club you coach at not knocking them. Wake up to yourself and have a good year.

Gd to see the Bays show some strength and win the 20/20 on sat arvo, the boys seemed very happy sat night and Bas was in some form out and about sat night, with the gd chance of them signing a new recruit this week they will only get stronger.
Has anyone got any more trial this weekend before the season opener?

Firstly both parties are to blame in a way,why a player would sign a contract in country footy is beyond me ( maybe after a dozen bundys) & secondly why a club would refuse to clear a player who obviously dosnt want to be there any more.
At the end of the day this is really showing where & why Pongy will continue to struggle, good blokes run by small minded unsuccessful nipwits!!!!! its a pity magpies arent extinct.

Dont beat around bush MC! Agree that nothing good can come of this.

Heard Mt Compass gave Cove a touch up on the weekend
Jervios beat Myponga
Willunga just got over Porties. The Dees missing a few with state duties but great to hear Hamsey back having a kick.
Valleys also gave Mclarens a touch. The Valleys midfield just to good

I've heard of another club down south who aren't clearing a former player due to them signing a contract to play. No money has exchanged hands but still no clearance.

Talk in the River Murry thread that Myponga done a pretty good job keeping up with Jervois, considering how strong they have been over the past few seasons and although it does say Jervois were missing a few it sounds like Myponga have done pretty well here. 'WOW' can you give us any more info?

I don't know where it says that Mypo kept up with Jervois on there, so were you at the game Kappers? Jervois got to a bit of a slow start in the first quarter but after that tightened the screws a bit. Were up by a goal after the second quarter and then kicked about 6 goals to 1 in the third. Myponga will still be pretty good with some big key position players but probably need another decent mid fielder and someone up forward as Sterzl played at HB.

Yeh it was a good match early. A few old boys out 4 pongy and jervios were missing 5 pretty handy players. When jervios took there A's off they were up by 6 goals. The centre of the oval was shocking, the sand was a foot higher than the oval #-o

I heard the Dees played some pretty scrappy footy but ran away with the game in the end. The Dees missing 8 first choice players gave a lot of guys an opportunity to impress and from all reports the young guys did some impressive things again to back up there efforts from the trial with Morphies. 1 trial to go and the real stuiff starts.

The SA Country boys beat the Amateurs by about 6 goals on what can only be described as the best deck to play footy on you could imagine. Will be quite a shock next weekend back on the hill at Willunga!!

Have to admitt, I was very surprised to see the Sunday Mail tip Mt Compass as the team to beat after Willunga have won the last 5 premierships down there and not really losing anyone from the premiership team just adding players!
This will only spur the Demons on more! Can't wait till round 5 when the Bulldogs take on the Demons...
