We got a free kick against Virginia last year for their runner being in the def 50 at a kick in. So I'm not sure if it is well known.

Being a runner now I'm aware of this rule and thought it was quite well known. During the year though I was told off for being in the fwd 50 while someone was having a shot on goal, I was unaware that was a rule as well. Apparently its to prevent runners from clogging up space

I was just saying the rule doesn't apply in the APFL according to a quirky bylaw

I wonder if all the umpires know? I've heard them instructing water carriers and runners to leave the vicinity during kick ins, I think it would be a common sense thing.

Read in the Producer the rumour that since Grandma Platt has been ousted as Prez at the Rams that the whole clan might be moving down the road to the Roosters. Handy pick ups if true with reserves key forward Platt and Grandson Platt a regular APFL junior rep and WWTFC invitee.

Heard from a good source that Callum Bartlett is looking pretty close to signing with Virginia after Gawler Central pulled out last minute.

Any more news on player movements in and out of the league?
Virginia sound like the only side that will improve drastically, based on ins so far.

Two Wells look the team to beat again.
Balak should be around the mark again.
Hummocks should continue to improve with their young players a year older.
Mallala sound like they’ll drop off a little bit, but expect to be around the place come finals time.
Virginia should improve and may get back to giving it a shake by the end of the year.
United always tipped to improve but will probably hover in no mans land - too good for the bottom couple but off the pace of the top 4 or 5.
Hamley and Angle Vale may improve but can’t see them getting past too many (other than each other) during the year.

Early shouts for the mail medal - wide open with Clements gone from Mallala.
I’m gonna hedge my bets and say a tie between someone who has been unlucky not to win one - Lachy Michael, and with the Eagles improving and Pedler a year older, he looks a good chance.

Leading goal-kicker, I’m going with Brandon Taylor.
Again Hummocks look like they’ll win a few games and he generally takes advantage of the Angle Vale and Hamley games as well.

Premiers - I’ve got a Two Wells and Hummocks grand final.
At this stage you’ve gotta say the Roosters will win, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Eagles had a great grand final day and managed to knock them off.

Any background on Maughan and Evans?
And Sam Clements is Jordan’s younger brother yes?

Forgive my ignorance but who have they picked up?

Is there a list anywhere of possible in's and out's?

Well to be fair, the only one I’ve seen confirmed is Lee Staple, but ive also heard a lot of other names floated around.
Generally when you hear names being floated around Virginia, the money they offer tends to get a few across the line.

Will know more in the next week or 2 clearances opening up again I imagine!

Locals Ben Galic and Nathan Warren back from Eastern Park were mentioned.
