What really happened was Semmler sent a letter to the PLFL in regards to the transfer of M Parker.

Parker agreed to return to the MRFC origionaly but when it was confirmed that Semmler was coaching the TFC it became evident that Parker had second thoughts about returning to the MRFC. After a meeting between Parker and Semmler they wrote a letter to the PLFL to see if there was anything they could do about the clearance not going through and Parker remaining at the TFC. The letter from Semmler to the PLFL was on a TFC letterhead and was signed, and this is where the problem arose that Semmler was under contract with the MRFC until Dec 31 ....yet.... he had been appointed TFC coach in the press and was sending letters with a TFC letterhead when all we knew he was still a MRFC player. After investigating it was determined the MRFC had received no correspondance from the TFC in regards to Semmler.
We found the TFC guilty and fined them $750 with NO loss of premiership points.
Let this be a warning to you all

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

We have to make a stand now and then or it just gets out of control.
The MRFC did not bring this to our attention and had nothing to do with it until we investigated if they had been contacted. Semmler brought it to our attention with the letterhead.

so CU you are on record here by saying that the MRFC did NOT lodge a complaint against the TFC...For not sending the "Permission to Interview" letter to the MRFC by registered mail, seeking permission to speak with their registered player - Semmler.....just so we are clear on your statement?

I am saying that we approached the MRFC regarding any mail they may have received from the TFC, they were 100% honest and said nil.
I am not willing to divulge if they made a complaint or not. It is irrelevant

What a laughable comment the above is.....make a stand???? How about you make a stand for once against MPFC who break more rules every week than most clubs make in a season. This league has a major credibility problem and players dont want to play here because of all the cr*p they pull and get away with. Can only imagine how may uncontracted/unregistered players they play every season and nothing gets done. 1 set of rules for them and 1 set of rules for everyone else.
Give me a break.

What and your saying the WFC and TFC don't. That's not what I hear from many a supporter from both your Clubs. I think we will need to go a long way to match that, although I have certainly noticed a bit of friction between selected supporters of both TFC and MRFC over the last 2-3 years which may well be building.
I'll say one thing though, if all that stops players from a visiting club having after game drinks at the home side's clubrooms, they all need a kick up the a**e.

Iv'e got a question which has been prompted by all this. If I, who have no official capacity at MRFC or say TRR who has no official capacity at WFC were to go down the pub and run into lets say Harry Miller. There we are having a drink and I or TRR say to Harry why don't you transfer to our club. You can't say that MRFC or WFC have done anything wrong can you ?
So to avoid breaking the rules it has to be either a me or a TRR who makes an approach (and you most certainly could expect the prompt to come from our clubs), get the lay of the land with Harry and if he seems half interested then tell our Club to send a letter to MPFC.

What a lot of crock. Someone said on here a few posts ago that we would all do it and you can bet he's right. Is there a better way ?

in your little story - is there any money changing hands on the premise that the change of club occurs... therefore being a new "contract" between the two parties. I dont reckon you would send a letter for a "half interested" player - these letters tend to cause some angst at opposition clubs.... you wouldn't be doing that without a better than "half interested" player.
