from what I saw last night I am writing the peckers off. they were slow and had no rotations in the midfield and are small in defence. I say our main danger this year will be Tasmans and possibly waybacks.

Is that for the season or just the preseason cup? if its for the season that is one of the most stupid things i have ever heard, everyone knows not to have high expectations for malles early on, they'll get fit and get more players. Tasmans yes will be competative and so will waybacks and rangers. Although i believe this season will see many unpredictable wins and will be one of the most exciting years in PLFL we have seen!

I thought souths were soft last night, I remember hitting a pack and a few pulled out.

Cheers Daicos, but you obviously didn't see our side.
We were at full strength, although neither Daniel boys played. Maybe just a bit tired from last night i'm not sure :( , Souths still had about five top players out too. All in All a bit embarrasing. :(
Score was LS 7.5 def TFC 0.5, My kicking for goal didn't help either, takes my tally for the pre-season to 2.6

After last night the preseason ladder is as follows
P W L %
LSFC 2 1 1 175.00
MPFC 2 1 1 122.58
BFC 2 1 1 87.14
TFC 2 1 1 53.94

Even though the ladder has LSFC and MPFC at the top it means bugger all because only one of those sides can possibly make the final. Because everyone has won a game the winners of the following games will be playing against each other in the final

LSFC v MPFC
BFC v TFC

My predictions are that MPFC will beat Souths comfortably and TFC will beat Bostons and make the final. We should be able to then win the final with confidence we gained from beating Peckers on thursday. I think Bostons will beat Souths again in the consolation final.

TFC were pretty ordinary last night got smashed in the centre and made fundemental errors running under the flight
of the ball knocking the ball into Souths goals from pocket throw ins. I didnt see MJ or big Mike Orbons, Daniels boys out
there, I think a couple of the country boys are skillfull enough but it will take time to adjust to the tempo and first give.
Souths were far more committed and switched on some good signs I can see why they were keen to keep young Kemp,
I hope he will maintain a positive attitude,Jericho is one of the best running around Dunn etc all talented.
Lucky I didnt put my house on the outcome

Steve Whillas...... hahahaha wasnt tough. he was a sniper in the great flinders league. would wait back and get the young boys coming out with the ball, or better still collect guys off the ball.

i think everyone has forgotten one player. Darren Davey who played at marble range

he had the greatest case of white line fever I have ever seen!!
nice bloke off the field.
We were at mallee Pk one day and as he was running onto the field he turned back
to the crowd and said "tell my mother that I love her" and then split packs all day
and went thru every piece of opposition that he could find.

So how about we leave the topic of Boston "enforcers," and encompass all clubs in a "top twenty" of all time snipers?

I think one club in particular will feature heavily.

In recent years:

Rangers got a smashing by United Yelenna by about 80 points. Rangers looked as if they put out a b grade team with H. parker, T. Brooks, M. Sargent off the top of my head not playing. Hopefulls for them were Damo scott off half back, Tynan keeley off the wing and M parker playing up the ground. If they are going to be as good as what everyone says i would expect a massive improvement!

live - it'll take some time for you blokes to gel. Lots of Tall fellas, a change of game plan and structure - I wouldnt b too stressed at this stage. They will improve 10 fold.

Souths - fit, enthusiastic, young - and full of support and run. As I've said before - will surprise.

Bostons - again didn't field best side on Friday after a good win on Thursday. I expect the Tiges to take a little longer to hit their straps.

Mallee Park - only fielded half of their expected "best 21" - will be the team to beat again.

Always hard to back up the night after your first hit out. An interesting season ahead - very even, with some upsets on the cards.....Rangers - well that was a surprise, but I know that Yeelanna have recruited well and I'm sure that Rangers were well short of their best...

As far as I know - Waybacks will not be having a trial game... so are the unknown packet of the League...

I think Marble Range have been built up too much, lets not forget they fell into the finals as bostons lost their last 6 games last season. besides the two finals wins they were awful last season. CHF and FF gone from last years side. If tasmans all improve as we think they should it might be them and the rangers fighting it out for fourth spot. By no means are MRFC assured of a finals berth.
