hi all? have never posted on this site before, but thought this may be a good way to spread the word quickly!

I am trying to make contact with all the parents of the players currently on the list with the Port Adelaide Magpies and the parents of the boys also involved with the current Magpies Academy and the boys currently on the U/18 & u/16 2010 season list.

Im am trying to instigate a gathering to show we support the Port Magpies in their fight to survive, and to show our gratitude for their part in giving our boys the opportunities to further their football and to hopefully give them an opportunity to maintain career at this level.
And more importantly how important it is to have their continued support in developing and giving other boys on the Eyre Peninsula in the future the same opportunity our boys got.

If anyone wishes to attend this gathering please contact me a.s.a.p so I can give you more information regarding when & where this event will take place. 0429 882731

A great idea ragabone. We should support the Port Magpies over here. Buy a membership. we are indebted to them greatly as they have nurtered somne of our greatest talents.
What else can we do to help ragabone?

As soon as a date for the gathering is announced come along and show your support and listen in to some idea's to create a better support base for Port Magpies, so if the club survives beyond 2010 they will continue to get support from the Eyre Peninsula,[b] [b]Why?
]because we believe in their junior development program, and we owe it to the kids of the future to receive the same opportunity as the 25 - 30 boys Port have currently on their list from the Eyre Peninsula. Proof there development program is working, bring on 2010 season, It will be exciting to see so many of our young EP lads running around in the SANFL.

we should all band together to save the PA magpies on the EP. It wouldnt hurt to buy a membership or start an EP supporters group to show support in our time of need.

back from Bowls Country Carnival and Round Robin and a good time was had by all.
Just caught up on the posts while I was away.
Congrats to the EP cricket lads and we were kept informed of their progress while in Adelaide. Didn't run into any of the boys which is unusual cos we normally do somewehere. Great effort.

We didn't fair as well but managed to come equal 3rd on points and could have won it if we didn't twice give away very handy leads with just a few ends to play (Damn!!!) Anyway we were right up there and will have another crack next year to see if we can repeat our 2 wins in succession a couple of years ago.

Already a member of the Port maggies and urge those of you even half inclined, to do the same cos we won't get another SANFL club to do over here on EP what they have done over the years.

SES beat Waybacks, Charlton beat Tasmans and Tod River beat Souths.

Port Lincoln got over the line in the Henderson Shield GF vs Eastern Eyre at Cleve yesterday. We made 199 and kept EE to 7/196.

I heard souths lied down beacause they didn't want to face us in the finals.
what happened to waybacks gun batting line up? seems they are one week wonders. its a bit different facing a good bowling attack than a b grade one.

From what i've heard is that, Waybacks staff want their team to be involved but most of the guys Don't want a bar of it, Bostons, Mallees and Souths have either pulled out or aren't keen. Tassies vs Marble Range, The new showdown!
I see Waybacks Stuart Green has signed with Eyre United, What did they do to deserve that?

Support the Port Magpies
The gathering time and date has been set for Sunday 28th February @ 11.30 am @ Ravendale Oval.

This day happens to be the last Academy session scheduled for the 2010 season, lets hope it will not be the last one for Port Adelaide.

So it will be a great day to rally together and show the SANFL how much we support what the Magpies do for our Region.....

It will also give us the opportunity to show our Support & appreciation to the Port Magpies development group as many of them will all be attending the session scheduled.

So as many attendances that we can rally together in current parents of the boys in Adelaide, the parents of the EP development Squads and the current Academy parents, along with Members or Non members that believe in keeping the Magpies alive on the Eyre Peninsula,

This way we show we care for the future of the boys already playing at the club and more importantly we would like the same opportunitys given for all lads on the Eyre Peninsula...... Everyone Welcome

Not a good day at all ragabone the PACC cricket club have there 20/20 clash with EP at centenary that day I beleive. 28th can anyone confirm the date?. Half the sporting people of the town will be at that.

Why dont the PAFC set up a stall at the cricket game which could see 500 - 1000 people at it? They could sell memberships and merchandise.

Yeah that's right. EP vs Port T20 match is on Sunday 28th.

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to set up a tent or something at the match. There should bew a decen crowd.

I love rumours... In regards to the pre-season comp, I believe the only confirmed non-starter is MRFC.
