Congrats EP on the 1000 pages. Well done to WCP who especially early contributed to at least 125 pages of crap by himself :)

On a topic more suited to EP than specifically PL, as most posts are, what do we think is going to happen with the 2010 Mortlock Shield...

For those unaware, Whyalla have pulled out- so....

Five team draw, or back to City and Districts?

There is a long term push to bring in K.I, but it'd be too short of a time frame to get them in this year...

Anyone's thoughts?

Nah seriously I can't see why PLFL can't split back into City and Districts. It will maintain the comp as a 6 team one and while PL will obviously be weaker with the 2 sides and may not win as much in the future as they might have with 1, they will still be competitive.
It also gives another 20 odd players a chance to play at a more elite level which can only be good for them

I know that K.I. is near a certainty for 2011 and beyond, so what happens this year will likely be a one off.

I agree with you Steiger, it'll promote more players, and put a bit more pressure on the "established" mortlock players, once we go back to one side...

I see the decking on Poole Oval has started construction. The best surface in Port Lincoln and now will be the best viewing venue.

Not sure what construction you have seen UA but i went past there today and it don't look like anything has changed, not even holes in the ground for posts. 8)

Seaman, Wake and both Nagels have signed panther. Looks like a return to the bottom of the ladder for the eagles.
Far to good in the 20-20 cricket and the dominance continues as lincoln south are our bunnies, always have been leonidis

With all due respect towards the Nagel brothers, Sam Wake is really the only one that will affect us in this situation. Kenny had an awful run with injuries and might have played 1/2 game in two seasons and Edna was a very hard at it defender when fit/available. Sad to see them all go.
Seeman only played 07/08 i think, handy skills but didn't do much in our side. I think he might have played at Wudinna last year.

I think the comp is currently in a lot better shape than it was five or six years ago, i really think the two lincoln sides would do quite well.
