Echunga well in the game and the last quarter blowout didn't really show a true reflection.

Only a couple of goals in it at half time.

Uraidla feedback was that Echunga would be competitive and surprise a few sides.

Echunga won both U13's and U18's easily.

They certainly looked OK in Central DIv and had a couple out.

Uraidla facilities were excellent and there was a great crowd.

Really enjoyed the game at Uraidla . Echunga looked like they have done a big pre season, every player looked lean and up for the contest. Uraidla looked short of a gallop and will benefit from the run.
The difference was the skill level by foot of Uraidla and everytime Uri's needed a lift they were able to produce. The Eberts were good and Richards still a gun.

The depth as the season goes on would be a concern for Echunga . The B grade was a blowout and they wouldn't want Carey or Cranna to go down.
In saying that the recruits looked good and the return of Snell adds much needed height to the backline. Echunga is a stronger side than last year's which dominated country and will need to be. I would say the club would be happy with the first weekend in central.

Agreed - Uraidla were just more polished.

David Edmonds will be a big inclusion for Echunga when he returns.

Also good to see so many Echunga people in the Uraidla club post match.

Why did Dave Edmonds put in for a clearance??

Not sure - as he was part of the push for Central.

His brother was also out serving his 1 match suspension from the GF.

Cranna certainly touched up the Uraidla ruck department and showed he is capable at that level. (as was Carey and Lindsay)

Central Division - Round 2 Sat 12th April
Onka Valley Vs Bridgewater - Onka's by around 3 goals.
Echunga Vs Ironbank - Didnt look like Echunga had all the new recruits playing last week? do they have many to come in? If so I can see this one being close. Seeing as its Echunga 1st home game and they love the big spaces to use their running game. Maybe an upset Echunga by a goal!
Torrens Valley Vs Mount Barker - Mount Barker by 7 goals.
Lobethal Vs Uraidla Dist - Uraidla by 5 goals.
Hahndorf Vs Blackwood - Blackwood by 7 goals.

if ironbank can roll Hahndorf like they did last week I would say ironbank to get the job done over Echunga !

Should be an interesting match at Echunga - with the 2 Motlops visiting the club who couldn't match Ironbanks offer.

I agree that it will take Echunga a few matches to settle into the Central divison pace and 4 quarter intensity.

Unfortunately Echunga will still be without a few key players - should be an entertaining match though with Ironbank pleased to be able to play on a fantastic oval.

Tigers up by 2 points over Uraidla. Great game from all reports, and a rare win over the neighbours for some time.

Not only won the A's at Lobethal (first time in 9 years) but won the A'2s, the U17's and the U13's, lost the U15's after leading all day except when it counted. Pretty good crowd with a well supported 'Ladies Day" for the Jane McGrath Foundation. Looking forward to the rest and lining up against Echunga, tip against us if you dare.

Is Kane Mclean from Uraidler the one who used to play for Norwood many years ago?

Cool. I used to play with Kane in Under 17's at Broadview. He picks up tyres from my workplace and I thought he looked familiar. I can remember he was a pretty good footballer back in Under 17's and then he went off to Norwood. How does he go at Uraidla?

He would have to be one of the dirtiest players in the league.

All good mate. Have you played with or against Kane? When I played with him at Broadies, he dominated the half forward line. Then he went off to Norwood. And until just recently I totally forgot that I played with him in Under 17's.

Just heard a rumour on radio: Ivens (Nth Adelaide) to Uraidla. Wouldn't surprise me with the North Adelaide connections at Uraidla. Surely that'd require some coin.
