Josh Freeman's time with Tampa Bay may have come to an end but he seems to be taking an interest in Kapunda these days, as well as the recruiting of clubs in other leagues

Interesting that Jacob Kajanto changed his mind in preseason and stayed at Angle Vale, then proceeded to do his knee, so a non event anyway.
Fenton yet to suit up either but Barossa Districts have started the season well anyway

Is a Willaston player in trouble for umpire contact from the match against Angaston?

If it's who I think it could be, his current club would be D2 in 2026, not 2025.

A rush of coaching appointments recently

Angaston- Stephen Carr
Centrals- Brendan Dew
Kapunda- Jesse Lonergan

Anyone else still to make appointments?
Is Herzick continuing on at Willaston?
Are Nuri still looking for a coach or they happy with their fill in after the flag?
Colqhuon would be on shaky ground, Tanunda are quite impatient

KAPUNDA now agitating in the background for a big regional league shakeup. The boardroom at Johnson’s must be in overdrive!

Bombers committee are floating the following new league be explored:

Kapunda
Freeling
Hamley Bridge
Mallala
Balaklava
HW Eagles
United
RSMU
Eudunda Robertstown

Roseworthy to join in later years

They’re trying to anti-Gawler but other Barossa clubs don’t seem to be picking up what they’re putting down.

Very strange times in country footy at present.

Would think HWE and Balak would want to move to the NEFL if anything given what's been expressed previously particularly by Balak. Without Eudunda and RSMU the NEFL disintegrates if you work on the proposed league above.

Realistically Freeling will be gobbled up by the Roseworthy expansion in the coming years and if they play their cards right they could and probably should become a powerhouse in the BLG should they stay. The biggest issue with the Light clubs unfortunately seems to be their attitudes. That being said with the changes made at Freeling and Matt Stelzer at the helm I would think that has changed or is changing quite a bit. He is a fantastic appointment and what they have needed for 20 years.

So out of all this, if Kapunda wants out they should ask to join the plains or nefl instead of crying crocodile tears because things aren't going how they would like. And I would think that would be their best option.
