That's it for 2009! No more entries. Although some expert's tips would be appreciated. If anyone knows of any forecasts made by experts that have been published in one form or another already please post them here!
Cheers! :D

Just revisiting this page to see what I selected. Just a point of interest - with 4 points for a correct selection, how did someone get 30 last year? If you don't get all nine right and get 36 pts, the most you can get is 27 points... 7 correct times 4 less 0.5 points for each of two that were wrong... If you get 8 right, the 9th has to be right as well...

P W L D Pts %
Glenelg 19 16 2 1 33 55
Central 19 15 3 1 31 55
Sturt 19 13 6 0 26 60
Eagles 19 11 7 1 23 50
North 19 10 9 0 20 52
West 19 7 11 1 15 46
Norwood 19 6 13 0 12 49
Port 19 4 15 0 8 46
Panthers 19 2 17 0 4 38

That is the current ladder. The only change to that can be central and glenelg swapping positions. So who is the winner TRB.

If I have this right, I think I scored 28 pts.
Maybe everyone can add up their own scores to save TRB doing them all? Then we can work out who won.

North 3
Sturt 3.5
Eagles 3.5

Norwood 3.5
West 3.5
Port 4
South 4

LOL - I feel stupid about asking the question re points calculation - I misconstrued the minus points process.... but think I have it now.

Sorry I have taken so long folks. Been a busy month!
I'll try and get this done today before the footy.

AND THE RESULTS ARE IN!

WINNER and Grand Pooh Bah of the Premiership Table Competition is:

ASH 59
Total score = 33 points!
Congratulations ASH 59!!
His entry was:
Glenelg 4
Central 4
North 3
Sturt 3.5
WWT 3.5

Norwood 3.5
West 3.5
Port 4
South 4

That's 4 direct hits, a very high strike rate!

Second place getters and Mini Pooh Bahs are:

Constance Perm 31 points
Dogger 31 points
Peter XTC 31 points

THE REST:
4th Go Double Blues 30.5
4th Cover King 30.5
6th Booney 30
6th Thiele 30
6th Rd 30
9th Kahuna 29
9th Magpie in the 80's 29
11th WYC Bloods 28
11th Hearts on Fire 28
11th Mr Willy 28
11th Squawk 28
15th Grant J 27.5
15th CK 27.5
17th Therisingblues 27
17th STABC 27
17th John the Claret 27
17th Brod 27
21st SA Paul 26.5
22nd Damian 26

Thanks to all punters. I look forward to doing it all again next year!
Now how the hell did I manage to get the top three spot on and then finish 3rd from bottom?

Just for comparison: 2008's winner:
Redwhiteandblueblooded got 30 points
1. Glenelg (4pts)
2. Sturt (4pts)
3. Centrals (4pts)
4. North (2.5pts)
5. South (2.5pts)

6. WWT (4pts)
7. Port (2.5pts)
8. Norwood (2.5pts)
9. West (4pts)

So a marked improvement this year, but we did start after round three, so perhaps the first three rounds assisted people's predictions?

I only got 4 direct hits - top two and bottom two.

I only scored 3 pts for North but total is still 33...

I think picking Norwood to miss the 5 won it for me. Not sure what difference Bassett will make next year.

Errrm, I think you are right there. I'll fix it. Sometimes I get blank spots in my head when I do maths.
Anyone else who wishes to contest the amount I figured out for them will be considered correct until proven otherwise. I am not Spell Check after all. ;)
