No price on Eric Abetz or Kevin Andrews seems tough on two of Australia's deepest thinkers.

I wish he'd stop referring back to the Labor party when discussing disunity.

And I also wish he'd stop saying the public voted him in as PM, the public voted in the Liberal party, not him. It's the same for any government in this nation.

Hard to fit them all in that tiny airless bunker.

There will be plenty more of this. The in fighting looks to have been kicked off. The factions will be at there best now. And that makes the Libs just like Labor.

And who wins from all of this. Not the people because time spent with this crap is time away from doing the job.

By focusing on those points, he is effectively telling his party "you take me down, you all go down"

LOL, Labor using the Abbott wrecking ball playbook by attempting to suspend standing orders for a vote of no confidence in the PM, something Abbott did 5 billion times in opposition.

Who are the liberal MPs that got busted switching sides away from Abbott after telling him they supported him?

I thought it was a secret ballot. But who knows really.

Normally and I think there is some old convention, maybe Westminister convention which dictates that front bench ministers vote with the PM.

Can't tell you, secret ballot, unless I'm desperately clinging to any hope to keep my job as PM, then I'll arrange for the secret vote tallies to be leaked to further damage the party.

This has nothing to do with any conventions arising out of the Westminster system; it's just an internal party thing.

Either way, I can't imagine Turnbull voted against the spill. I guess we'll never know...

So the PM's new and recycled strategy is now clear, attack the Labor party to discredit them. Works well in opposition, but fatal in government.

It's actually painful to watch now.
