All they have to do is add a flyer to the ESL bills which thanks you for funding the appearance fee for the Stones, Adelaide Oval event free buses, and the Blame the Federal Government Ad campaigns ... problem solvered.

Big Tom jumped on adelaide now to plead his case. Basically what he is doing is all funding normally for emergency is been redirect to other areas that require funds. Then the public picks up all the emergency services funding. Apparently that explanation should make us feel all better now.

Oh and its all the feds fault. Not that we built a stadium and a hospital......

I find it interesting that Weatherill and he keep saying that they are honoring their budgets for health and education yet they are cutting them
When pressed on the issue, Koutsantonis just mumbles that they are "efficiency savings"

needs to have its name changed to the "show me the money levy" or the "our mouths wrote cheques that our budget couldnt cash levy" or just admit it is the "we have been pissing your money against the wall for years, and we just realised we need more, so we will just take more from you because we can levy". but i guess they dont have as catchy an acronym. at least it isnt a "new" tax......

Yes, heard him on Triple M and ABC
I must say, one of my more enjoyable mornings.......
Renewal SA Board, Rod Hook, Paul Kerin..... Who's next?
and Daffy Duck is getting more feral every time
He had to actually stop talking and swallow this morning because he was nearly drowning in his own froth
Did he actually use the word inappropriate?
Reminds me of "That's not racist - I know what racism is"

Almost a total disaster.

What will be interesting is if Weatherill and Rau try to replace him - he will burn the place down before leaving
The irony is Hamilton-Smith is the only one stupid enough to want the job

Watch this space........

I've never heard a politician sound more arrogant or cocky on the radio as he always does. Even when he is defending something like he was this morning he is constantly just going on the attack

Someone should send Tommy and Jay some yellow overalls for this summer as another Eyre Peninsula CFS brigade will refuse to fight fires on Government owned land.

Looks like Sa Water are in the gun again. Apparently the government has been using it as a cash cow and we are paying up to 6 times of what it costs to provide water.

Of course it's a cash cow, ETSA was the same when in government hands.

Government is milking it well, but in fairness has done so for some time.

Sa Water makes good profit each year. There is no doubt about that. Any incoming government would be very unlikely in wanting to change that.

Sa Water has recently been restructured with the goal to reduce numbers. Also I believe the regulatory is requiring Sa Water to make substantial savings throughout the business over the next 3 years.

Without a reduction in water rates which are only a small part of the issue, then we will see greater profits from Sa Water in years to come.
