Round 3 vs Craigmore - Michael Daly retired 26 off 50 balls.

My guess is the 50 balls Bedgie. Retire at a score or at 50 balls so others get a go maybe was the rationale? If you look at the bowling it gets shared around to all the kids.

3/15 with a bunch of kids batting behind me plus the lush two wells oval. Took 1 for the team to try to bat through the day and get to 150 odd. Then as a f*** you here have a dodgy lbw. Gotta say this old c*** is thinking the end is very near.

Found it! Merlin shared this rumour with me the other week. For clarity Angle Vale requested their C grade to be re-graded from Lo2 to Lo3 as they are pretty much our Lo4 side from last year. Most of the players we lost were B grade

I'd just like to give a shout out to the Peninsula Pirates A Grade.

They're a top bunch of lads, played the game in the right spirit, and their skipper was great to chat with post-game.

We definitely look forward to seeing them again.

Could this latest outbreak see PDCA games cancelled given a lot of this has centred around the Northern burbs.

If games were cancelled would you just take it week by week and cancel each game as a zero points to either side and then just recommence the fixtures as scheduled once allowed.

Understand there is a lot of water to go under the bridge yet but im on-hold on a work call which is going to take ages so thought I would start a convo to keep occupied.

A depleted Westies managed to get over the line and notch up their first win against arch rival Virginia, would've been a bit of panic with 4 runs to win and Travis Mc getting fired out LBW to be 8 down.

Angle Vale weren't far off getting a much needed outright win against NEK, Meredith scoring 81 and Jon "Everyone's favourite" Pogas smashing a quickfire 57 not out gave them every opportunity for big Justin to come in and deliver the final blows. Nek held on well to close at 8/131, Justin collecting a lazy 13 wickets for the match (7/40 and 6/44) off of 48 overs all up.

Parafield Gardens have raced to the top of the table with an away win against Dublin, Luke King picked up 6/36 for the visitors and then the Gardens' tail wagged as they reached 144 from 77.2 overs, Barry Dowling came in at 6 to score 21 not out from 3867 balls no doubt. Tyson Richard took 5/64 from 36 overs including 13 maidens.

On a side note, has Barry Dowling ever hit a 6?

How's this Mansueto character ripping Grade 2 a new one with the ball?

39 overs, 11/56, take out the first round where he got clubbed (7 overs 3/26) and he has 32 overs 8/30...................insane.

Always glad to see Kingy get a few wickets. Genuine good who is ultra competitive on the field but the first to drink a beer off.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing Barry Dowling bat 65 overs in a semi final to score 22 runs. Matty Marsden blasted 60 and along with Baz hanging around they got up to 160. That proved to be far too much for us and they won comfortably.

Worst part was I think that has only encourage Barry to bat even slower!!!

Barry has been on the arse end of some of my best work, doesn't bother him at all though, same as Matty, he got his first ton against us, it was probably the ugliest century ever and he was assisted by Merlin and a couple of shocking calls, he got caught at cover by Tuckers above his ankles and Merlin said it bounced before him.

Both good blokes though, Baz is right up there with one of the best keepers I've seen, his keeping to Pargaliti was exceptional, leg side stumpings to an opening bowler is crazy.

Poor Brenno was sweating bullets when we went after the 138 of 20 overs he left us.
Was a good game, lots of great banter and ask Brenno about the greatest send off of all time he got from our Paki cult hero Bil!

138 off 20 overs is a good target - enough to keep both sides interested and with a decent shot at getting the points. He was no doubt getting nervous towards the end though.

I'll have to ask about the send off.

Covid is being convenient. Wouldn't have been very nice conditions to play in this week, mid to high 30's and 90% humidity.
