PFCC has confirmation that Jason Akermanis has been named to play this week in its Section One 'A' Grade match against Coromandel at Plympton Oval.

PFCC extends an invitation to all cricketers to head out to Plympton Oval once their game has been completed (1 Dayers generally finishes a little later) and have a look. We will have the BBQ fired up and fingers crossed Aker can hang around and have a beer with his team mates and the opposition and sign a few autographs before he has to get back to his accom. and freshen up for the show.

Tickets are also available for the Jason Akermanis show at the club later that evening, and if clubs have 'groups' of people that would like to book we can negotiate a group discount. Either PM me or phone the number provided.

Lot 4 – 2011 GEELONG FOOTBALL CLUB TEAM PHOTO
At the start of 2011, Geelong was all but written off, after coach Mark Thompson left at the end of the 2010 season and the move of Gary Ablett Jr to the Gold Coast Suns. Despite an aging player list and a first year coach in Chris Scott, Geelong were the only team to beat Collingwood in the 2011 season and finished second on the ladder behind Collingwood and met again in the 2011 AFL Grand Final. With the lead changing a number of times during the game, Geelong gained the lead in the third quarter and did not relinquish it for the rest of the game, with Collingwood failing to score a goal in the last quarter. Jimmy Bartel of Geelong was awarded the Norm Smith medal for the best on ground. This poster is fully signed by the entire 2011 squad and framed.
