In the Churches comp for Enfield, Paul Johnson has played over 550 games and Rob Turner has played over 500... all for the same club

Bowled two overs... 0 for 24
Lasted 5 balls for a duck

Great day though

we're not too far off each other here WLF!

1 game, A Grade for Aldinga v Willunga (they were desperate for a player!)

1 over (last of the game) 0/11
1 catch
lasted 3 overs batting, before being clean bowled............for a duck.

also filled in as 12th man on a couple occasions though, when one of the lads has had to leave for various reasons.

Well retired, but about 340 2-day games for one club in Adelaide Turf and before that in A&SCA..

A rough guess

3 years at Glenelg
21 years at Mt Lofty

All but 2 years being 2 day games = ~10 per year
2 years of one day games - ~15 per year

Must be around 250

Started playing cricket at 21...now 35.
14 seasons minus 3 soft c*ck seasons in between having a break.
so 11 seasons times 9 games a year = 99 games approximately... all at Fitzies.
Im expecting a banner for my 100th game first game of the year.....you hear me Pidge!

Brian Walter has played 476 games for One Tree Hill. he still fills in 3 or 4 games a season in the lower grades. 300 of those 476 were played in the A grade. he played his 300th A Grade game last season i think, or the year before.

Stuart Oliver has played 343 games for One Tree Hill. and last year was still performing well in Division 1.

Lance Walter played for One Tree Hill for 50 years. but we dont have the stats for his whole career. we have worked out that he has played 227 for the club, but we are missing stats for 20 years of his career... so who knows how many he wud have played. probably in excess of 500

193 open age matches in Vic and WA (debut at 19) - junior games make it 200 (only played U12 for one season, then scored for school 1st XI for $20 per day - good pocket money!)

Played my first 74 matches in a row
Missed one season (not my doing), plus a half season (injury)

Played at VTCA and WA Suburban Turf and also in synthetic comps in each state
Seven rep side matches - 3 for Seniors and 4 for Veterans (Over 35s)
112 matches at 3rd XI level
4 S/Finals and 3 Finals for 1 flag in 2003-04 (including my BB - 6/38 from 20.1 overs)
HS 78 (on turf)

Most importantly, with a 17 month old boy and another boy due in a month I have been given licence to play cricket until either the body goes and I am of no use on the field, or I play in the same side as my boys for a season or two or else I retire if they show no inclination of paying cricket (and that better not happen!).

That means 20 more seasons times 14 H&A games (plus 15 rep and finals games - conservative), could get me somewhere near 500 open age games all up ... I wouldn't be unhappy with that!

cant even bother reading this all

Are these two still playing? They were at Enfield when I left in 1982. Rob's old man Gordon (what a legend) must have played about 500 games as well and Paul's old man Wally would have racked up quite a few - all at Enfield. Great effort by the Turner's and Johnson's.

I played 2 years of footy out there and was having a break from cricket, I went to watch my brother-in-law play for them and they rushed through a clearance form when I got there so I could fill in for them.
