Corey Knight last seen leaving the Karoonda Hotel at 2.30am this morning.
Karoonda chasing about 240 (I think!).
Good luck to him!

Any stumps score from yesterday? I heard Mypo were 3/20 at one stage but last I heard they had recovered to 3/168 or there abouts......

I would imagine they would've made 200+ which would put them in the box seat. Anything over 150 is a good score batting first in a grand final, if you can get over 200 you won't get beaten too often, even with a batting line up like Karoonda.... We'll see how things pan out today I guess..

Imps won the B Grade premiership - by 1 wicket with one over to spare - awesome game of cricket.... Monarto set them 161 after being 4/60 at drinks. Imps were cruising at drinks at 2/109 (Todd Hillam smashed an awesome 50 odd) before a collapse, but the old head in Steve Plummer got them over the line....

Yep, Karoonda all out 96. J Daniel 7/30 to go with his 80 yesterday...... I guess at least Karoonda made more than 30 this time.... Or 31 or whatever it was in their last GF attempt...

But I guess if one of your star batsmen is in the pub till 2.30am....

very disapointing days cricket for karoonda yesterday....with 4 "questionable" umpiring decisions to key players the game could have gone the other way...but well done to mypo..outplayed karoonda for two days and thats all u need to do in finals

Who were the umpires!?? I assume it was Pfieffer and????

Some of the decisions in the B grade grand final were questionable at best. A stumping decision when the square leg umpire isn't even looking, and an LBW given when a guy is half way down the pitch (captured in a photo).... But its funny how soon people forget such decisions when they win...

yeah pfeiffer and wayne emery....3 lbws and a caught behind....mistakes in finals cost teams badly and karooonda apparently made a couple in the field on sat after being right on top havin the opposition 3 for 20 odd off about 15 overs

LBW's are always a bit contentious.....

Prefer to see none given, than dodgy ones.... And agree - can't afford to make mistakes in normal games when the league's sides are so close, let alone finals... A few little mistakes here and there cost Imps a spot in the finals, and I am sure most teams would be the same....

lbws on hard wickets should almost never be given unless the guy is goin back or is hit on the full....there arnt too many country players that play back tho!!

Too right they shouldn't be given very often.... I don't think increased education for umpires would go astray either... but then again, we should be thankful for the umpires we do have, as I prefer to sit down and watch our team bat than go out to umpire...

I just think that all umpires should at least do a basic umpiring course..... And a stint at square leg is bad enough, I just hope we don't go back to having to umpire ourselves!!!!

Met a couple of blokes at the Karoonda Hotel on Saturday night who claim to be hitmen.
Anyone goes missing or there are some unexplained accidents in Karoonda in the next couple of weeks, might be worth bearing in mind. ;)

Light?

A couple of us Loxton North blokes were talking to this fella who when asked what he does claimed to be a hitman. Surely kidding.
He and his mate were chalk and cheese and were talking about concrete boots.
One said he was in town working on renovating a house. Bald headed, muscly looking.
The other short with a slight accent, Polish.

i totally agree. there should not be a LBW given to any batsmen who plays on the front foot on a hard wicket and that bats out of their crease. The umpire should always give the batsmen the benefit of doubt.

i dont know how umpires can give lbw frequently out on hard wickets...i think it has a bit more to do with it than jus making the decision....a lot of umppires hav previously played against players that r still goin around....and who can tell me that some umpires love firing out better players??
