Don't think it matters, different ball game in finals.

1-1 Against Angle Vale this year, none of us liked playing at their oval. They played it well that day.

0-2 Against Virginia this year. I didn't play in either game so cant really comment to much.

Barry: The Difference.

Well it's all the same ball game mate, you go out there and score more runs than the opposition to win, I'd rather be playing finals on my home deck than elsewhere.

Haha lets not get to carried away.

Yep see ball, hit ball. For whatever reason in a lot of the finals I have played they have never been that high scoring and teams seem to tense up and go to water.

Rose Park grand final last season defended 90 odd against a team that should of got home without an issue on their home deck.

When you have an oval as good as ours at the moment, I'd much rather play there.

Yep, most people sensationalize finlas, they play the game all week in their heads and come out the star.

Keep it simple and play your natural game is what I always say, that's what got you there in the first place.

I'm always one for making a dramatic change though and thinking out of the square like chucking in a solid tailender to open the batting or throw a part-timer the ball early on in the innings, I pay a lot of attention to the other team's modes of dismissals etc.

Everyones kidding themselves, the secret to Gardens success is they realised Dowling could possibly be the most boring person on earth and whacked him down the bottom of their batting order, hence, both partners now contribute to a batting partnership.

For what its worth, Only way Gardens beat Virginia is to bat first and put a decent score up. If Virginia win the toss and bat first they may as well roll the mats up and get on the cans.
Westies to get over the Vale - don't know why other than the fact they have the best player in the comp. LEON KENT.

In the time it took me to write this, Barry just blocked another 10 balls.

Barry is just as boring at trainings and he loves it, he has his job and he does it perfectly. Credit to him though, taken this team from relegation to minor premiers.

He is good and all but he isn't even the best player on his own team.

I fear Dowlings sense of humour may have rubbed off on you, unfortunately I'm not certain you will get to face Kenty again this season. P.S. The Kenty part was a little jibe, ex Rosie boys and all.

Yep it seems you did, m sense of humour is a little left of centre, not many get it.

But seriously, you cant play that card. Finished top, you blokes are going to get a certificate for that. Surely if you don't bring home the flag its a wasted season.

You can look at it that way, how many people would of said we'd be in this position.

We hope to we are good enough to go all the way, will have to play 2 good sides to do so.
