If any of them last played grade 1,2 or 3 last season they won't be able to play anything but A grade for Salisbury North without a permit.

Who was the alleged club trying to get relegated further?

Not sure mate, didn't hear that specifically.

Whether they're wanted or not, they can't play grade 6 this week without a permit. The rule itself is a bit ambiguous, the discussions I've had people have been adamant it covers the whole season for new players and that was how it would be policed. I'd definitely get clarification from the association before naming them in low grades.

A13. Movement Between Grades
No player may be demoted more than one club grade at a time in the current season, based
upon his/her last match played without a permit being granted by the Association. For a player
transferring between clubs that player must not be demoted more than two (2) Association
grades from the Association grade last played in without a permit being granted by the
Association. Such permits may be restrictive and the granting of such permit would depend on
reason(s) submitted.

That would be great for our competition to have Pete back in Division 2, the bowling standards in the past few years have been very friendly. Hopefully Ray and Pete fire up and knock a few helmets around this season. Everyone with talent at my club want to play Div 9 :/

Pete isn't nearly what he used to be, infact I struggle to see him causing many if any headaches in Grade 2.

Maybe if he got a bit fitter again.. ?

Two out of three confirmed and hopeful that Andy will be available for a few one day games. Looking like a very similar side to last year. Without Andy we'll be looking for more consistancy from the senior guys and there are a few young guys pushing from the B's.
