Southerns the bolters! 2-1 and knocked off the Bays away.

Woodville flying 3-0, take down previously unbeaten Adelaide

Eagles and Blues on the board.

Long season looming for Prospect and Northern Districts

Uni 2-1. Talented line up.

Southern Internationals looking ok. Following the Uni model, if they all can't play finals will be interesting as their 2nd Grade still woeful. No wonder their best juniors left to join other Clubs if that's the path they want to take.

Uni batting amazingly strong, best in comp. Kensington the team to beat, overall depth the key. My early pick for the GF those two.

Woodville a smoky but will depend on access to Andrews, McInerney and Nielsen. East Torrens may get Lehmann and Robins back which makes them very strong. Interesting comp.

Could be. Same thing happened at Henley Oval, lifted up on one corner, ended up being a 20/20 game starting at 3pm.

Bit of rain around Friday/Saturday this weekend too!

Thoughts on the setup of the current redbacks 2nd XI?

Understandably not everyone can bat in the top order.

McInerney (Bat)
Bosisto (Bat/Bowl)
Davis (Bat/Wk)
Drew (Bat/Bowl)
Neilson (Bat/Wk)
Dickman (Bat/Wk)
Page Jr (Bat)
Scott (Bat/Bowl)
Summers (Bowl)
Barrett (Wk/Bat)
Grant (Bowl)
Pope ( Bowl)
Oakley (Bowl)

Two day cricket kicks off this weekend

Round 4
Prospect (0-3) vs Northern Districts (0-3) - the song will be sung with gusto by one of them
West Torrens (1-2) vs Glenelg (1-1) - shock loss to the Bays last week. They'll hit back I reckon.
Southern District (2-1) vs Tea Tree Gully (1-1) - Carl Hooper's reign has started ok. Big road trip for the Gullies. Won't want to slip to 1-2.
Adelaide (2-1) vs Kensington (3-0) - grand final rematch. Will be interesting to see which Shield and 2nd XI players are released to play
University (2-1) vs Woodville (3-0) - both teams looking good. Still question marks over Woodville's bowling but winning form's good form.
East Torrens (1-1) vs Port Adelaide (1-2) - do these teams hate each other? Always felt that there was a bit of spice in these contests
Sturt (1-2) BYE - Blues would have been relieved to limp over the line last week

A bit of rain around Friday/Sat. Hopefully the covers are fixed after the issue with the B grade last week. Too bad if they then have to play another one-dayer the week after! :D

Currently 111 no. Handy pick up - especially as he'll also play in the SA 19s

Summers in the second eleven? Surely gotta be having a lend? Bloke barely takes wickets.
Also Woodville forfeit their D grade this weekend. What a disgrace a SACA club has do this. Make a joke of the whole pathway blah blah blah. Sooner they get rid of this d grade comp the better, rather than collecting three grand in subs the clubs do.

Just watching the ND and Prospect game, haven't watched a game for a while. Cossie looks at ease is he still one of the better non-Redback listed batsmen?

Still a gun. Churns out county runs

When he's not taking singles to the keeper anyway

Kens 9/222 vs Adelaide - Buffalos will be happy here. High scoring ground. Browns have a good attack but home team in the box seat.

East Torr 4/396 vs Port 0/12 - Port have a decent batting line up but too many runs here. Cormack will bowl 40 overs. Did Port open with two nightwatchmen?

Glen 7/252 vs Weagles - evenly poised. Bays would want 280. Spinners the key for Glenelg.

TTG 4/316 vs Southerns - must be a bit of a featherbed down at Bice. 112 over Day 2 next week. Would Gullies bat on?

Uni 4/406 vs Woodville 0/6 - wowee... will be a decent chase. No Andrews or Nielsen either. Draw on the cards.

Jets 9/317 vs Prospect - too many for the Pirates you'd think.

Not many wickets falling last Saturday.

Are the pitches getting flatter?
Or are our bowlers getting weaker?

Years ago players used to complain that the pitches weren't flat enough. Now they are all flat. Should we go back to putting more grass on the pitches?
