A long long long long long time ago I played with Billy Hards in the Albert Druids/Brompton daze
I liked bowling to Mr Hards
He has this unusual crouching stance, and a prodding technique
If you bowled short into his ribcage, you had a fair chance of zapping him in the ribs or hips
I always remember Billy as he was a great clubman, and a stubborn batsman who put a price on his wicket

He certainly did Mal. Great Clubman and great to see him at the club for these events.

Only got to play a few games with Bill, he still opened the batting, and wore a helmet but was still very hard to get out. He then became an umpire.

Hi all

Just to let you know we have 3 Sunday Trainings starting this Sunday (11.30am till 1.30pm on the 4th, 11th and 18th of September.)

We will again have teams in Div 1, 3 and 4 in C&CCA.

Trainings will be at our main ground Sam Johnson Sports Ground, Swan Court Renown Park.

Fantastic facilities, Runners up in Div 1 and winners in Div 4, new players more than welcome.
