Been busy with the weather man, trying to work out the best place to get my groove on.

Weather man tells me theres a 43% chance that 67% of the clouds may provide 21% of the rain

which by my calculation is more chance than you dominating this competition Carey.

Vote - No. OoooooH YeeeeaH.

Agreed Dancing you'll get no argument here my good man......

This isn't a new rule (not in ours anyway).

Hypothetical question - answer if you want, If mediation falls over and Parish isn't cleared what happens to Rose Parks season? Shite would get hectic in the other forum if an unregistered player played half a season and the clearance never came through - is that fair??

And Moses, you didn't play for GG about a decade or so ago did you?

To answer the first statement Chad disputes the claim by the other club that he owes money. You seem to be misunderstanding what that means. Just because the other club claims he owes them money does not make it so. Hence the dispute and mediation process.

Because of the dispute the association has, so far, granted him permits to play for Rose Park on the understanding this will be resolved ASAP.

To answer your question, because the association has granted permits for him to play there will be no problem for Rose Park regardless of the outcome of mediation save for not being able to have him play which would be a shame.

Are you saying that if you wanted to change clubs and your old club asked you for hundreds of dollars that you believed you didn't owe you would just hand it over anyway?

Again a pretty unanimous calling for the return of the Association skipper to our comp. 39 votes in with 81% of those wanting Shaun Holland to return to Churches but only half thought he’d return to his dominant best. I think these doubters need a reminder of his performance in probably the greatest Churches game ever played when Rose Park defeated NEK by 1 run in last year’s Semi Final. In a Man of the Match display, Holland nearly single handily bowled and batted his side into a GF against the more fancied Rose Park.

If this was the "greatest Churches game ever played", how come nobody could be bothered entering the full details of this game into Mycricket?

There isn't even any record of S Holland playing any finals last season.

PG - something for you to do in your spare time (in fact there are no player details for most finals last year, which is a pity)

Who dealt with the match reports last season? I'm happy to go back and enter in these results but i'd need either the scorebook from NEK or Rose Park or a copy of the match report.

Presumably Dan Hancock would have the match reports?

This week’s Poll Question: Is Fitzroy’s Michael ‘Pidge’ Spry the quickest bowler in the comp? And if not who is?

I would still go with Nitter. The bruises from around my thigh pad on the weekend reminded me how quick he was...

Anyone who was privy enough to watch the great man Holland’s display wouldn’t need the internet to remember the game. He even batted in a red cape that match. But for anyone who wants to see Holland on the net, here he is doing his best work

nitske (sorry about spelling) is quickest by far........pidge has good pace but dies quickly after 2 or 3 overs. ...plus when you bowl 90% down leg , hard to work out pace.
also need to teach pidge it is 4 runs when ball goes over boundary lol......
but sharky would be the best bowler in churches .....
smithy , the best batter by far . technique wise (even if stats dont show it )..
IMO.

I haven't seen enough of the players (or faced them) to make a judgement on who is quickest, but I know Nitschke gave Enfield A grade plenty of trouble last round, and Balneaves was good the round before, although getting on he is still a capable, smart bowler.

I do think though that a name to watch out for is Zach Hancock - this kid could be the best all rounder in the comp in the not too distant future..

On a different topic, what is the go with the association 21's this season? Will they have a team?

Some players from what I have seen this season that I think could be capable of selection include:

Zach Hancock (ENF)- as previously stated, i think this kid could be the best all rounder in the future. Athletic, strong arm in the field, aggressive bowler and can bat.
Luke Goodman (ENF) - plays in Enfield B grade at the moment, 16 years old and i have no doubt he will play A grade cricket down the track. Hits consistent areas, comes onto the bat a little quicker than expected and has good height which makes his a fraction awkward to face.
Luke McLeod (PV) - Like this kid, would've been playing A grade at Enfield if he didn't move to PV, not a total game breaker but solid in all three disciplines, i think sometimes goes until the radar because he is quieter and his progress/success hasnt been as pronounced as his brother.
Jarrad McLeod (PV) - Struggled this season a bit, but has shown what he is capable of in the past.
Stephen Phillips (FITZ) - Watched him bat against Enfield D grade at number 9, thought he was about 4 spots too low. Showed great temperament and a sound technique. Opens the bowling for Fitzroy but probably isn't ready to bowl against higher opposition.
Lachie Carmichael (FITZ) - Haven't seen him personally, but noticed his name pops up every week in the paper, must be doing something right..

*EDIT* - Just realised Luke McLeod is too old
