thank you Days and timmie for the extra clarification. I have been enlightened.

And Days by the looks of things both teams would be a little different from your last meeting. Especially from round one don't think there is many from that 11 to the 11 that played Saturday. But should be some very good games this weekend hopefully weather plays no part.

A1; Freeling vs GVCC - I think Freeling but could really go either way. If I was a betting man I would bet on any pub in the district making a killing from these 2 clubs no matter what the result.
A1 res; Lyndoch vs Tanunda - Lyndoch, massive win last week by the Lyndoch boys, 3 GFs in a row Matt robbo to guide them home.
A2; Ango vs Gawler Centrals- GC to win this one I think been the better team all year so deserve to be a favourite. Will be interesting to see if Brett woodards could get his back good enough to bowl a couple of overs to provide some x factor.
A3; Lights Pass vs Greenock; Greenock, lights pass to crumble like last year and facebook to explode, Association reps to enforce social media policy.
A4; Lyndoch vs Tanunda; I think Tanunda mainly so the flags get spread around as I have no idea.
A5; GV vs Morgan; good to see the new club to make the GF, but GV to win this one easy, old man busch to go beserk tiping 6's everywhere.

A1- Freeling despite a Mullins century
A1 Res- Tanunda easy Boschen to take 8fa
A2- Ango Central have been smashed by Ango both times they have played this year
A3- Greenock, Light Pass perennial chokers at this level
A4- Tanunda
A5- Morgan

Agree on most points, apart from GC to win 2's. First game of year (can't read much into that) and you won the other by three runs, hardly a smashing Days? GC been unstoppable after Xmas.

We played 6 U16s that day and only scored 3 runs in the last 2 overs after passing their score.
Will have a couple back from the A grade this week and Woodards fit and very keen to bowl

Good luck to you, I hope Brett can have a trundle, just don't think you can read much into both games played already, and I'm just saying that GC have been the team to beat since Xmas

Would think Brett may only be a spectator this week - probably not enough cricket to qualify.

Not having a go at anyone at this at all, just asking the question. as if it wasn't washed out and lights pass got up what would happen.

The rule is pretty black and white in the bylaws. I'm not sure why you're asking the question.
The clue is that LP has consecutive grades in finals, so anyone qualified for 3's could play either grade. From memory there were quite a few clubs that did similar over the weekend.

I was asking the question because I didn't know the answer. I actually thought that you had to have all grades in the finals to be able for someone to go down, but obviously I am wrong.

Thanks for the answer but you don't have to be a knob about it. Like I said in my first comment it didn't effect the result but was wondering what the implications were.

Useless, in amongst all that TC did answer the question correctly

What would happen if an Ineligible player did play?

It would be up to the exec I'd guess, but I think its has happened before at Nuri, and I "think" they had the game taken off them ?

Days can probably provide more detail, but I think it was before the rule re-wording/clarification, and that they dropped a player down but didn't have ALL their sides in the finals, and under the wording at the time found themselves in a spot of bother. I think the rule at the time only allowed for free movement between sides when all senior sides made finals. (There again, I'm old and my memory is fading)

The rule may have been re-written as a consequence ?

Will there be much play this week in the A1 final? Both sides are good mates with each other, might be more likely to see the final played at the Roseworthy Tavern.

There will be a boat race in the middle of the sandy creek oval to decide the A1 premier tomorrow at 1pm.

All out for 267 off the last ball of the day, R. Hannun 101, S. Carmichael 71

Gonna take some chasing tomorrow. Pitch looked very dry, low and slow bounce.

Raed is becoming a finals specialist for freeling, thats probably the time they want him to earn his money and beam cans, back to back will cause for some major celebrations at the gungallon tonight if they get up. I remember raed smashed a double century just before the finals at smithfield, this is his time of year

They had it wrapped up before I got there at 4.

That makes 11 Freeling premierships in the past 5 years if my counting is correct (including the state T20, so 12 if you count country & city as 2)
