I thought Adelaide warriors only wanted to play in the one day comp?

Have changed their minds I was told Sunday.

Two Wells & Salis North off to play one dayers only.

Only one i'm not certain on is Smithfield? Didn't make the GF - so would Parafield Gardens potentially go up?

Perhaps the exec will promote Eyre Royals and leave Smithfield down.

I think with Smithfield finishing top they were promoted but with losing luke dunn and zac lowe and eyre royals gaining so much I would bring eyre up

Not sure what's more concerning,

PDCA still don't have a program out with 5 days to go before the first games
or
Eastern Park haven't asked for clearances for the players they want back to play for them yet.
I would have thought once they were back in Wednesday Night, you would have gone home and submitted clearances straight away for the players you need back to have the 2 teams you promised everyone you would have?

I'm led to believe they won't get many of the players they thought they would back

I heard that most will be on a footy trip for round 1 so they'll be submitting them this week in hope for their inclusion for round 2.

Central United would be happy with that, an outright to start the season against the team most likely to challenge them for the minor premiership.

Obviously based on pure intuition I see the Grade 2 table closing the season as follows:

Central United
Eastern Park
North Eastern Knights
Adelaide Warriors
ATCO
Craigmore B
Angle Vale B
Smithfield
HOGG SHIELD DIVISION V WINNER 2018.

Adelaide Warriors are a pretty good side, they may finish 2-3.

I'll sort a bit of a tipping comp out for the top 4 Grades. For the two dayers they can be worth 2 points, 1 for picking the winning team, a second point for selecting an outright win or just first innings.

Hate to say it but I think Atco may struggle a bit this year. Lost a couple more players and from what I understand haven't picked up anyone.

Some real good youth coming through but probably not enough top end quality to support the youth. I hope they do well but at this stage making finals would be an enormous effort.

Enfield will struggle too - from their A grade side that played in the C&CCA grand final last year, only 2 remain. :(

They'll still be competitive in Grade 3 - most of the lads who played B grade last year will be playing again, and they held their own last year. Just don't have much depth this year and have lost a lot of firepower.

Would still be hopeful of making the top 4, but at the moment would probably be a fair way off the top sides, especially Eyre Royals who will take the piss.
