Sandy Creek are struggling in the 2's at the moment. Split points is like a win, not surprised they "got caught out" South had their covers out. Didn't do them much good either

Not sure whether I'm watching the Aussies vs the Poms or Ango vs South

What are everyone’s predictions at this stage of the season? Angaston premiership favourites again? Malalla have come up from the reserves and I would think at this stage have exceeded expectations. Looking at the premiership table it seems extremely close in the A1s. Eudunda/Robby are looking strong in the reserves and have quite a few talented kids coming through, good signs for the future.

Saturdays forecast will be interesting. At this stage no cricket but they are predicting the cool change to come through earlier in the day than first expected. Temps in the arvo could be high 20's and there will be no cricket playing. Can the Execs make a call on it or is it a hard and fast ruling

still ridiculous that Nuri is used as the benchmark given it is one of the colder places in the league.

Forecast 43 in Roseworthy, and could hit 44 or 45 in Saddleworth!

Sandy Creek/Mallala game called off due to wet oval before a ball was bowled.

Ground was perfect to play on by 2:30. What a shame, all other games going in the A1's i believe

Umpire called it off?
Why didn’t both sides just hang around and start later?

Yes umpire wasn't happy with the mud on the secondary pitches or the fact that the bowling side would be disadvantaged by the wetness of the oval. Was happy to call it off at that stage. Then there may have been a misunderstanding with Mallala believing it was done and dusted and a few players heading home while Sandy still thought it was possible, by the time the sun had come out and a decision could've been completely sorted out Mallala only had 8 at the ground. Umpire said game off and drove away. Two weeks in a row affected by weather is frustrating

Game doesnt have to start until 3 50, anyone that called a game off before then today is just stupid. We are here to play cricket, anyone that didnt want to play today should give the game away, umpires included.

Maybe the umpire needs to be reminded it’s about the players and not him. 22 blokes miss out on playing our great game due to his poor attitude.

Exactly, the same umpire doesnt want to umpire one day games once the team chasing has reached the score. Im always of the belief that games should be played out to the end while the rules allow it. Players pay subs, volunteers put alot of work in to preparing turf pitches, umpires are paid for the day. No one complains when the team batting first doesnt have a crack at setting a target, batting their 40 overs and making say 9/100 yet when the team batting secong gets them in 15 overs some people expect us to walk off the ground instead of batting out the 40 overs we are entitled to. Over the last month ive been subjected to both ends of this stick, its cricket. If the dominat team happens to bat first and posts 300 this is ok but when batting 2nd its not?

Very embarrassing sat at sandy to call a game off at 1240 due to a tacky pitch which wasnt the one being played on wasnt good for the game

I don't mind that, it stops the crap teams losing even more players.

The PDCA introduced the bonus points for reaching the target inside 30,20 or 10 overs to not disadvantage the winning side.

Cricket must be the only sport in the world where you have to keep playing after you've lost!
