The experience of Lehman, who guided the innings much like he did in the Domestic One Day GF, and Ross, who is a T20 pro, got Kensington to a good total of 171. More than they might have expected half way through the innings.
WT were doing it well with the bat until the power play was taken. As is often the case, a T20 game is won or lost on the outcome of a power play, and with Drew and Manenti set, they made the choice to take the power play a bit early with the chance to cruise it home. Instead, they were both out, the boundaries dried up and Kensington didn’t let West Torrens back in the game.
A good quality game with Kensington winning both the women’s and men’s on a hot day at Adelaide Oval.
