The goalscorers for each team were Wasley for Norwood and Graham for Central.

Saw one of my mates in the best players for this game so emailed him about it and this was his reply: -

Of course I remember it!

Elizabeth Oval was completely under water - it was like a game of rugby, ball-up to ball-up for the entire match.

The only goal that we scored was in the last quarter (I think) when Wazza (James Wasley) kicked a screw-punt from the edge of the goal square that just cleared the other 35 players who were all huddled in the goal square!

Clearly the most ridiculous game that I ever played in!

And let me tell you, Elizabeth Oval doesn't get any smaller when its under water...

Scores like that always make me think of the SANFL game that will stand forever

Port 1.4 (10) bt Norwood 0.5 (5). Our lowest ever score, lowest ever winning score etc etc. Those records are not going anywhere in a hurry
