Round 5, 2007- an all-time consistency record?

The lowest score by any side for the round, it seems, was 70 points, and the highest 102 points. This struck me as pretty darn consistent.
Probably a pretty tough one to answer, this: is 32 points the smallest-ever 'spread' of scores by all teams participating in a minor round?

No, mainly because of the early scores were so low that there was little spread in a round - and there were only 3 matches a round.
Round 6 1908 was the lowest spread:
North 5.9 (39) Torrens 5.6 (36)
West 5.9 (39) Sturt 3.8 (26) - 13 points is the spread
Norwood 4.15 (39) Port 3.9 (27)
Very uncanny to have all the winning scores the same points, but it would be more possible in that era.
For a 4 match round, it was Round 14 1956:
South 13.5 (83) Port 10.11 (71)
Norwood 11.17 (83) West 10.12 (72)
North 11.10 (76) Torrens 9.19 (73)
Glenelg 12.16 (88) Sturt 12.11 (83)
88 less 71 is a 17 point spread.
For a 5 match round it was Round 12 1969:
Woodville 9.15 (69) South 9.7 (61)
Central 10.16 (76) Norwood 9.10 (64)
Torrens 10.11 (71) Glenelg 8.15 (63)
Sturt 12.9 (81) West 7.8 (50)
North 10.12 (72) Port 6.15 (51)
81 less 50 is a 31 point spread.
In this decade (and by decade I mean the 2000s with a two on the front for those who want to turn this thread into that argument), the record is 26 points:
Round 20 2000:
Eagles 16.7 (103) Norwood 13.13 (91)
West 17.11 (113) South 14.14 (98)
Sturt 15.9 (99) Central 14.11 (95)
Glenelg 14.12 (96) North 13.9 (87)
32 points is the equal 39th closest round on record, and the equal 14th for 4 or 5 matches in a round.

How is that even possible, spelly? Unless you are a computer. Has anyone ever seen him in the same room as Deep Blue?
Seriously, dude, thanks.

I think you should host a Q&A night for the diehards on this forum spelly - that would be a wonderfully educating night. Great work! Wrap him in cotton wool I say!

Spelly would
have to be host - because if he was on one of the teams, it would be a no-contest.
