He was very proud of his Aboriginal heritage and talked to me quite often about it, it was also a big part of his artwork at times, mind you so were TAB tickets!
He used to only put bets on to feature in his artwork and sometimes would wait till a certain minute to do it for the time stamp which had significance to him.
He'd go down to Officeworks most mornings and print off his artwork and spend quite a part of the day distributing it around Adelaide.
Occasionally if you were lucky or close to him you'd get a colour version instead of the black and white versions and Dave swore they'd be worth a lot of money one day.
The last time I saw him when he told me he was going to die soon he got me to copy some of his art and forward it to his family via phone. :(

"You should never speak ill of the dead" but here's 1000 words on it anyway. Graham Cornes using Granger's passing as a way to get some shit off his chest.

Didn't think I could like him less.
