Scott Lewis has become only the second known player to have done this:

He played in the 2002 West Under 17s Premiership under Peter Simmons.
Then two years later, for the West Under 19s champion side, which Godden was coach of.
In 2007, he was a part of (and leading possession getter) the Glenelg Reserves premiership; this was Goddens' first season as Glenelg Reserves coach.
And of course, Godsy lured him over to Oval Avenue, and therefore completed the quadrella this year.

Hayden Skipworth is the other player known to have done this - the 17s in 1999; 19s in 2000; Reserves in 2001 and League in 2006.

He also played in a flag at Loxton North in that time.
Can't remember if he had any success when he was at Clare, prior to heading to the Eagles.
He's a top bloke to boot. Can't speak highly enough of him.

Jamie Andriske won best & fairest awards in all four grades at West Adelaide.

On the Micky Godden thing, is he the first coach to win 3 flags in 3 grades ( I assume he didn't win a 17's)

At a guess, was the premierships for D'Antiochia the 1984 Under 17s, 1985 Under 19s, 1986 Reserves and 1997 League?

The 17s premiership definitely was 1984; and the League was 1997, I know that.

I was once told by a Port Adelaide old timer that their was one player who played in their Junior Colts premiership in 1951, their Senior Colts premiership in 1953 and at least one of their six in a row league premierships (1954-1959) and at least one of their seconds premierships (1955-59).

Given Souths last league Flag was in 64 and I think DN Kerley believes he coached that flag, and prior to that Souths last Flag was in the 1930s, not sure Apples has coached a League Premiership team....

Maybe he got a Samboy cup flag in the late 80s before he started in the 17s.

Given Souths last league Flag was in 64 and I think DN Kerley believes he coached that flag, and prior to that Souths last Flag was in the 1930s, not sure Apples has coached a League Premiership team....

Maybe he got a Samboy cup flag in the late 80s before he started in the 17s.

I'd be surprised if he coached a seconds premiership either. John Reid coached the 1979 seconds premiership side and Ian Borchard the 1991 premiership. I think that they are South's only seconds flags since the war.

One coach who may have coached premierships in three grades is Jack McCarthy. It is well known that he coached Port seconds during their five in a row premierships from 1955-59 then took North top in the seniors in 1960. He certainly coached Port under age sides before taking on their reserves. It would be interesting to find out if he coached either Port's 1951 Junior colts (Under 17s) or Senior Colts (Under 19s) flags.

Spot on Spelly, I thought the Reserve one was a bit later but thinking back he did wreck his knee in a league match in 88 and missed nearly 2 years, so right on the money

Obviously couldn't be at South then. I just remember it being discussed a few years back between some family members. Maybe it's just one of those old family myths

I remember when I was still playing, our main rival that year had an ex-league player that starred in the comp.

According to some of my team-mates, this bloke played state footy, captained his league club and played over 100 games.

He played one season and 19 games.

Just correcting my opening post, Lewis played in the 2002 West Under 17 premiership side, as Sturt won it the following year.

I have been able to verify that John Robinson, who later became a Glenelg player and the chairman of selectors played in flags in all four grades for Port Adelaide in the early 50s.

And Jack McCarthy did coach premierships in three grades including league
