it is obvious that port was the best club (performance wise) in the 20th century


so while we're 'only in' 2011 do you think central will be able claim that title at the end of the century ?.......i think they're almost certainties already

I'm not sure its actually possible to draw conclusions about a century after just one decade.

Looking at a 'best club" of a century, you also must look at who they beat, in what circumstances and the level of competition / other teams.

The SANFL is not the same as it was 50 years ago, 20 years ago.
That factor must come into it to.

Does that mean that Norwood won 16 flags in the 20th century.
Certainly that means that they were the second best performed side of the 20th century, but it doesn't place them much in front of North and Sturt (both 13 flags).

Ours were harder. My Dad told me. We had the smallest boundary.
