John Platten was at my workplace about 2 weeks ago and apparently now works for a company that specialises in something to do with workplace safety.

Tim Cook, last time I saw him, was working in a doctors surgery (but not a doctor) near the corner of Trimmer Parade/Tapleys Hill Road.

I was discussing today a few old legends from Thebarton and this trio came up. Glen Pill, Brian Mulvihill and Robbie 'Blazer' Enright who was arguably the best bloke who ever came out of Alberton to wear the classic bue and gold. Any ideas where they are?

Correct, he is.

Cooky finished his physiotherapy studies just before he left Central for North, from memory.

Really nice guy as well.

Imagine if Platts emerged about now. He'd be scarpered off to the Suns or GWS and would never have picked up any premierships. He would command a million a year (Scully?) so wouldn't need to swan around in the fluoro shirt in his retirement years

Cook is a physio and partner at Saunders Sports and Spinal. Steve Saunders PhD now works full time for North Melbourne but people may recall that last year Jonathan Brown and Brendan Fevola were flying in and out to access his treatment. Plenty of Crows in there all the time also, and players from other sports clubs too. Cookie still loves his SANFL though ;)

Just remembered yesterday that in high school I had Roger Gerlach (70s Port player) and Peter Cameron (80s Centrals player) as teachers.

Was it Randall Gerlach that had a bad liver (or kidney?) affecting his playing career?
