Matt Cooper back playing at Hahndorf which is good to see but is a little surprising to me as I was told by someone there early last year that it was 99 per cent certain that they wouldn't have him back.

Met Troy Bond a little while back. He's looking a few kilos over his playing weight but is a youth worker in Adelaide (as is his brother Shane). I also bumped into Brian Stanislaus in Darwin recently, although I didn't realise it was him until after the fact. And, going back a bit further, Scott Lee works for Coca Cola, filling up Coke machines around Adelaide.

Smithy, I bumped into Ray Wilson at TTP earlier in the footy season. He runs the sports store there next to KMart.

Anybody know what Mr Magic, Paul Bagshaw, is doing these days?

Saw this article and thought it might have been the ex Sturt player being mentioned..

"Yesterday, SA small-business owner Nigel Grivell said about 20 people from Adelaide were in his travelling party, and most were protesting against the carbon tax".

I presume the Ian Dettman pictured in this article about Jay Weatherill is the former Woodville player..

Former Eagles lad Hayden Skipworth was today appointed senior coach of Bendigo in the VFL.

Not so much where are they, as in a link - The Lady Reds, Adelaide's Women's A-League Team, recently fielded their youngest player in history, Ebony Philcox (15).

Her father, Phil, played a number of games for Woodville in the 1980's.

Is that former Torrens junior and Eagles league player Michael Di Biase in todays "hitched" section of the paper??

Not hard to see what he has been doing since he retired.....  Crikey!!!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Buff Tyrell still lives on the river near barmera, owns all the sports stores in Darwin and has a pretty relaxed life. 63 and still runs 100km a week

Grenville Dietrich is a pest at the Fitzroy Footy Club

Darren Jarman coaches CBC in Div 3, his brother Andrew played for them last year at age 45

Greg Anderson coaches Gepps Cross and works in a finance business

Robbie Enright is still an electrician

Most ex sanfl players you meet are loyal, good blokes - that's the best thing about footy and it's always good to either catch up with them or read about where they are

Not so long ago Moss was the opening bowler and I was the opening batsman
I made 50 not out
Moss was fortunate on 2 counts
1 The rules in the 40 over comp was batters had to retire if they made 50 [bat later if needed]
2 I was 46 years old

Was a quiet lad

Shaun Gatto and Ben Hancock also played in that comp
Shaun and Ben were the opposition fast bowlers
I made 50+ not out
Gatto and Hancock were fortunate on 2 counts
1 The rules in the 40 over comp was batters had to retire of they made 50[bat later if needed]
2 I was 46 years old

Both Shaun and Ben were good lads to play against
Shaun Gatto remains the last person I dismissed in my cricket career
