Just thinking today that a lot of people on here would have been supporting there teams, for 10, 20, 30 or more years so just wanted to see who has been the player you have enjoyed at your club the most since you have followed your team, it might be because of the way they played, or the character they were etc.

just like to hear a few names from the past

As a kid, my "hero" was Stephen Kernahan. He was who I wanted to play like, and is the reason why I follow Carlton also.

Also "loved" Super Carey, Ross Gibbs & Scott Salisbury.

As for modern day SANFL, I love the way our captain Ben Mules goes about it, and a young kid called Paul Adlington.

I always loved watching Ian Brewer play, sadly for only 2 years, but he was fantastic. A strong mark, brilliant kick for goal (saw him kick them over his head). To an impressionable 10 years old, it was the reason I played full forward (unfortunately not as well as Brewer).

Later on, easily the most spectacular player was Phil Carman. When he was in full flight, you would happily pay double the price of admission. Michael Aish's wizard like moves knew how to put a smile on my face as well.

Ralph "Zip Zap" Sewer ... my first banner as Woodville Cheer Squad Leader in 1987 was for Ralphs 350th, the last in 1990 a celebration of his four decades in football. He always took time to say thanks as well.

When i first started going to Thebby Oval and watching my team get hammered Daryl Schimmelbusch and Bruce Lindsay were my favourites, then in the last year of Torrens The Weed arrived and he took their place.
During the early years of WWT the three Andrews...Payze, Rogers and Taylor were great to watch, then until recently there was Colville and Hall.
Present day its hard to go past Mark Mckenzie, reminds me a bit of Andrew Rogers, he seems to have so much time when the ball comes near him, like the way James Rimmington goes about it too, just needs to channel his agression a bit!

Tony Hall.

Not the best or the most consistent footballer, but naturally gifted and graceful on the field.

What's the go here? he only wanted 1 name, not the whole team!!

In my 40 years of watching footy, without question the Jumbo Prince was #1.

"Bill" Wedding thrilled me when I was a kid. I loved watching him punch the ball to the half-forward flankers from the centre bounce.
Ron Kneebone was unforgettable too.

I am about the same age as Bruce Lindsey used to enjoy going Bruce at thebbie.
Trigger Tregenza when he came to Torrens
Bob Enright
Brian Mulvihile (spelling sorry )when he came back from NM and before he headed to oval ave.
And who could forget big jeff Saru
Plus the two best indigenous players I watched early on
Kevin Hill

Of course this generation of indigenous players are faster

Special mention to a player who I had to kick out of my Torrens team as he betrayed the club
Neville Roberts
