With the come-from-behind miracle on Sunday, Centrals' streak of unbroken 'minor final' (i.e. non-GF) victories must now officially be: lots.
But Spelly, is it the greatest in the history of the SANFL? (The Sturt of the 60s and the Port of the 50s leap to mind as possible rivals.) And if it is, who else comes close?

Sunday created the record, the previous record was Glenelg with 10 wins from 1969 PF to 1976 QF.

Glenelg would have also had fair runs either side of the 1989 elimination final would they have not spelly? '87, '88 and '92 came from elim final, '90 won the second semi.

In fact, between the Qualifying Final of 1985 and the Preliminary of 1992, they won 15 out of 17 minor finals. The 1986 2nd Semi and 1989 Elimination were the two matches lost. 8 matches were won in consecutive sequence between those two matches, 4 before 1986 and 5 after 1989 to 1992.
