Spelly, thought you would have had a field day with some of the scores today.
With an average of 53 points per side, where does this rank with same of the lower rounds of footy? There was a couple of rounds in 1987 that were very lowscoring, and one in 89 that I can remember.
Also, when was the last time scores like Port v West's 1/2 and 3/4 time scores were seen?

Interesting to note that at Oval Ave I am pretty sure 6 out of the 8 quarters were scoreless to one end of the ground .
Not something that normally happens

The 1989 round you mention FlyingHigh had an average of 49.4 points per side (Rd 15). In 1987 those two rounds (15 and 16) had averages of 63.9 and 66.3 points respectively. Since 1991, this has become the lowest scoring Round 19, beating 1995 - 452 points were scored or an average of 56.5 points per game.
Here are the rounds with a lower average than 60 points since 1991:
47.6 pts Rd 1 1999
50.3 pts Rd 23 2005
53.0 pts Rd 19 2008
55.2 pts Rd 21 2001
56.5 pts Rd 19 1995
57.8 pts Rd 13 2000
58.8 pts Rd 12 2004
59.8 pts Rd 3 1997
