				Would Balme be at 7??
I reckon Kuhlmann would be in there before him, as would Delaney and even Paul Arnold from NA. Maybe Brooksby as well, and Bruce Winter.
Wasn't Peter Anderson a wingman? (i stand corrected there).

John Riley was a very good defender but he was more of a back pocket/flank.
I'd say Delaney was at least the equal of Balme too.

Fair call GWW, I reckon Delaney was the best FB I saw in my days of watching SANFL.
Who was the Glenelg FB in the mid-80's?
Maybe I only saw him at the end of his career, but I never rated Kuhlmann

Off the top of my head, John Abley and Ian McKay are easily 1 & 2. I'd need to think about the others. Certainly Ron Kneebone, Ron Elleway and Bob Hammond would rate very highly.

You may be thinking of Colin Anderson who played HF flank for Glenelg in the mid 70s. Peter started with North Adelaide as a Full Forward, and then played in the Ruck. When he went to Glenelg and Woodville he played Full Back. Very good footballer but not sure where I would rank him as a full back.

The full back in Glenelg's 85 & 86 premiership teams was Chris Duthy.

				Cheers AH.
Max Parker went alright in a coupla state games at FB, due to the Vics height factor, but did he ever play FB for Woodville?
My old man reckons Abley and McKay also.

Just looking through some full backs in successful teams over the years from 1907 to mid 1970s:
Don O'Donnell in West Adelaide's 1908, 1909 & 1912 teams.
Syd Ackland in Norwood's 1923, 1925 & 1929 teams, also Norwood's FB of the Century.
Frank Golding - played a number of positions but was FB in Sturt's 1929 team.
Harry Fleet - North Adelaide 1930, 31.
Robert West - Port Adelaide 1936, 1937 and 5 GF's in a row from 34 to 38.
Cliff Semmler - West Adelaide 1947
Ian McKay - North Adelaide 1949, 1952
John Abley - 7 premierships - 1951 & 1954 to 1959.
Ron Elleway - Port Adelaide 1962, 63, 65.
Bob Hammond - North Adelaide 1960, 1971, 1972.
Bruce Jarrett - 5 grand finals for 4 premierships, 1965 to 1969.
Colin Casey - Sturt 1976

Arnold was No. 32 ... David Tiller was No. 4.
