Sure was Booney! :)

You'd have to be pretty dim not to realise Port has won more but the Legs have held their own against the Pies in the big matches and not many other clubs can say that..except for maybe Sturt during their golden period.

Norwood vs. Port in grand finals Norwood 6, Port 6. Not sure when the first grand final was actually played, but the first three times Norwood finished top, Port finished second so I counted them as grand final victories without being entirely sure on the stat.
Sturt vs. Port in grand finals Sturt 6, Port 4. Our opponent of choice in grand finals. We got almost half our silverware against them :P
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Hi everyone,

I know this thread has been inactive for a while, but i'm hoping there is still a copy of the 1976 Grand Final available out there. If there is, I'd be happy to pay whatever the going rate would be. Plus postage of course.

If anyone can help me, please let me know.

They certainly can, even longer. The most peaceful era in my watching life was the 11 seasons from 1966 to 1976. :)

Yes, me too. Even when they were winning flags through the '90's I managed to miss it... there were advantages in living interstate where no-one had heard of Port Adelaide, or the SANFL... most weren't even sure where South Australia was... :)
