Would come from this lot (in no order and for different reasons):

Wilbur Wilson (Everyone loved Wilbur, talent and entertainment at its finest)
Johnny Platten (Superstar, rates among the best players I have EVER seen)
Nathan Steinburner (Always busted his ass, never shirked the issue and kicked one of the best goals I've seen at the Parade)
Gowans x 2 (Stars, legends and top blokes - Every club wishes they had "mens men" like this who walked what they talked)
Trevor Roe (Cannot remember a time when he didn't get the job done on Aish, he could run all day too)
Stephen Connelly (granted only 1 or 2 decent years)
Greg Edwards (Another supremely talented and entertaining player)
Stewie Dew (Oozed natural ability and even as a teenager you could see this bloke was destined for big things)

I think maybe 2002 .. Night game at the Parade, IIRC Carslake kicked 7 for us and it was a bit of a shootout which we won by kicking abnormally accurately for goal.

Yes, I remember that game, Carslake was very good that night.

I think that was the night there was a bit of feeling up on Coopers Hill and a Norwood supporting lady I knew was hit in the side of the head with a full can beer pegged down from the top.

May well have been mate, there were a few incidents spanning the most recent Legs-Dogs night games.

1 Sally Saywell sensational half forward
2 Greg Edwards sensational full forward
3 Peter Beythien because I stood him one day and I jumped on his back and took the highest mark I ever took in my career

Yes that was right Big Phil, think we got him as part of Brent Heaver to Port deal in their first season

Correct. Is the son of my kids school ex principle.

Has a place in Carlton history as the only player to have won a game for Carlton and not worn the Old Dark Navy Blue....

Can one of you Central blokes tell me what the Gowans twins are up to in 2012? Is it true they are retiring from league and off to play country footy?
