I found something else interesting in those numbers (surprise, surprise )

I notice that the "most accurate year" (highest ratio of goals to points) was 1985 (56.17%, see last column of Spelly's random number generator printout)

Does that imply that the premiers from that year were the most skillful side ever???

The thing that interests me out of all those millions of numbers ( ) is the trends in the number of goals/points scored over time.

The biggest drop from one year to the next was between 1995 and 1996 when the average points scored by a team in a game dropped from 96 to 81.

I suspect this must have coincided with a rule change - was this the year the time on rule was changed to 20 mins plus time on?

It was scored sometime during the 3rd quarter of the games - there were 50 behinds in total up to each games' 3 quarter time scores.
