I would have had Knuckles at #3 myself, though Carey would almost certainly feature in my (admittedly biased) top ten. Garry McIntosh might have got a guernsey too.

IMO, How can you put a list together when you haven't seen those blokes run around.

In Rucci's list I've only seen Carey, Ebert and Davies. All the other no idea, just go on reputation...

Personal view too - Farmer has to be in the top three at a minimum. A decade straight of kicking the ton and the best goal average ever.

One would suggest Mr Rucci do some research next time rather than post a greatest 10 players since the war with two "token" pre WW2 players included.

So two blokes who watched pretty much his whole playing career rated him at 37 a couple of years after he finished playing, without looking at his career years later and being swayed by the personality or the coaching deeds (which still don't stack up anywhere near those of Oatey / Williams / Cahill).

the one that surprises me is that Bagshaw is so far down, considering he was already with six flags in the bank at that point, and about to hold the games record.

didn't Blighty only play 10 - 15 games fewer with the Peckers then the Roos ?

IMO should be on BOTH...
