Sportsbet LINE Errors

So was choosing my AFL bets on Saturday morning and was choosing "pick your own line" bets to multi up

It came to my attention that no matter what I picked, the odds didnt change. So I proceeded to multi them up and try my luck by placing the bet.

Once I went to finalize, I thought there would be no way this will get accepted! Anyway, to my surprise it did! So before loading up more, I thought it would be best to check my "pending bets", and bingo, Sportsbet changed the lines to match the odds...

I had to ring them and ask what the go was, they said it was a system error on their behalf and I could cancel the bet. I tried to argue with them but was going no where, and their compensation was 2 x $10 free bets! Wow wee...

I argued that I had to call them, and they hadnt contacted me before changing my bets (to suit them)

What do you think? What would have you done!?

Putting $200 on it would have sent off alarms with them, putting a small wager on it you may have got away with it

Instead of changing your bet without notification, they should have just cancelled the bet and notified you of any errors on their behalf immediately (with apology) because believe it or not, im sure there are people out the not as quick witted as most and may have placed a similar bet not knowing they were breaking any rules.

Is it my problem they had an error?

If the first leg lost, could have I cancelled the bets they changed?

Once I noticed Betfair multis had Jurgen Melzer at 18.50 instead of 1.85 so did a nice little multi and put $500 on. They multi came in but it was the same result, it is in their terms and conditions as protection. They are the price giver and unfortunately if that price is right they withdraw the bet. A bit dodgy that they changed the multi and didn't advise though.
