You need a maybe option.

I might go for the second run depending on the crowd they get for the first race. I might go to the first race if I can gather some troops to head over together.

I do however intend on getting to one of the races and expect to plan to arrive about an hour or two before the race not at the start of the day when most of the nicely dressed pissed idiots do.

It's a horse running around in a circle, with a midget in top of it.

Big no here.

That makes it sounds even better than it will be!

Massively in. Hope it's a perfect sunny autumn day so the phillies of Adelaide get their tekkers out on display.

Though I got to ride a former Melbourne Cup winner when I was about 9, and much later had riding lessons at Oakbank for a year or so, I've never had any motivation to go to a horse race.
I have watched a bit of eventing, tent-pegging, Polo, and Polocrosse, occasionally.
Anyone would have to be impressed with this mare as a specimen of her species though.

Honestly if every horse ran on the day without knowing any names i wouldnt have a clue which one it was except if it won by the length of a straight.

Will be at 'Tasting Australia' by the river torrens enjoying beautiful food and $5 stubbies of imported beer all day.

Great day out, runs both Saturday and Sunday from 11-5 and free entry. Lots and lots of food. Last year each stoll/organisation had their own $5 feed, was bigger than an entree but not a full meal. Fully licensed there were heaps of beer vans which had the imported European beers as well boutique aussie beers such as the full Boags and James Squire range for $5 stubbies.

Always a band on plus different attractions such as cooking classes, cook offs, wine tasting etc etc. All is free and in the great location of the River Torrens banks.

Yeah I kind of got what it was just thought it was strange to have an event named Tasting Australia that showcases imported products.

true but its a multi cultral type event lots of Indian/Asian foods etc etc. I think its refers more to what you can get in Australia, not Australian only foods.
