im not sure about the sainters, yeah they beat the Dees, but the Dees poor kicking for goal could've changed the result

Interesting looking at last year, the 4 teams that played the first week of Round 1 Adelaide, Essendon, Freo & WCE all won in Round 2 after having a weeks break, except for WCE who had the Hawks. Looking back the year before the Swans won in R1 and won again in R2 after a weeks break.

That would indicate Freo, Port, Gold Coast & GWS might go OK this weekend, will be interesting to see the results.

EDIT - GC & Freo are playing each other!

crows/geelong played thursday too, so they had a fair break. reckon the sunday teams, if they are playing against a team from week 1, will definitely have an effect.

I think the mids battle is pretty evenly contested, but GWS will win if they can find a way to restrict Riewoldt without Davis, their forwards are far more potent than that of the saints if Roo is well held.

great point about davis, he is the perfect defender to handle riewoldt, and they might struggle to do that without him.

Yes, looking at it that way does make sense, but I don't think Jones will "tag" this week after what he was able to produce last week. You add to that GWS have only won twice outside of Sydney and they don't have a back to go with Roo. I think I will go with my Saints H2H still.

Personally, Dogs v Roos is a definite no bet game. I think the Roos will win but am not willing to touch it- Dogs line could be the go if you wanted a bet (i say that with complete uncertainty though! )..

Jackson MacRae most disposals will be a market I might have a small dabble at. With Griffen back in the side, I reckon he and Liberatore will fight it out.
