I'd say in almost any industry this could be said, hardly improving the situation by telling everyone to "get stuffed"?

Hopefully next year a bloke says "Sucked in sheila's. Not good enough"

She's made it an "Us against them".

Don't let the correct quote or context get in the way of your cool story there.

She was talking to the owners that didn't want her to ride the horse. She had just thanked Darren Weir for sticking with her when some of the owners wanted her kicked off the horse.

"Some of the owners were keen to kick me off and Darren stuck really solidly with me"

Her comment was clearly not directed at 'everyone'.

I like how she went on to say "Women can do anything"...didn't she know that before? Must be hard to be humble.

Her comment to the owners is akin to Choco standing on the podium and telling Alan Scott he was wrong.

Michelle Payne :

"To think that Darren Weir has given me a go and it's such a chauvinistic sport, I know some of the owners were keen to kick me off, and John Richards and Darren stuck strongly with me, and I put in all the effort I could and galloped him all I could because I thought he had what it takes to win the Melbourne Cup and I can't say how grateful I am to them," Payne told Channel Seven after the race. "I want to say to everyone else, get stuffed, because women can do anything and we can beat the world."

Mark Williams :

"Allan Scott, you were wrong"

The racing industry isn't chauvenstic, she reckons she has problems getting a ride, try being a male over 6 foot and 100kgs plus like me!

Dumb **** of the day award goes to yours truly
I backed Criterion straight out the win, if that wasnt bad enough i then boxed up 3.8.11 and 19 but no Criterion

At least on sportsbet you would have got your bet on Criterion back :)

Happy to have only lost $20 on the race!
Criterion 15 x 45 saved me.

Bookies the big winners today!

Oh well, another wasted night of 4+ hrs of Form, for little return!
There's always next year.

Back markers never had a chance with that 'walking' pace for the 1st Mile or so.
Really suited those in the front 1/2.

Always Oaks Day 8)
