Did all the work outside the leader, loomed up on the corner, turned some toe on and left them at the 300. Began to tire a little at the 100 but had 3 lengths on them and was never going to be headed. Fair to say, she owes me nothing now...

If you can get eachway value of $9 & $3 – she’s the one for me in the race – I think she is vulnerable to win the race (as her Win % strike rate is poor – 1 from 6 starts) & I think this isn’t the ‘target race’ for her. Regardless of what happens, I reckon if she runs well (& hits the line hard) she’ll have 2 more runs – the Crystal Mile on Cox Plate Day & then The Oaks. Maher is a good staying distance trainer & I would assume The Oaks is her target race – currently $11 for that race. I’m prepared to risk waiting, in case she doesn’t win the 1000 tomorrow, as the price will get out a bit (hopefully $15) – obviously if she wins, then it will come in but Hey, that’s the Punt isn’t it?

So another Spring Carnival is coming to an end.
Pity the weather has been poor during Cup Week but I have to say by far the worst aspect of the racing this spring has been the Track bias.
Sadly, the combination of International runners & clear track bias issues @ both Caulfield & Flemington has made punting extra hard.

Only 1 bet for me tomorrow - Equador
Winx has been the star of the spring & the fact this one ran 2nd in the Epsom, plus its wet form, is enough for me to load up on it.
Waterhouse has had a very quiet Spring Carnival & she may well have had this race in mind.
The $26 was too good to refuse earlier today.

Cheers Lads, enjoy the final day of the Carnival :D

These are my tips in the last week of a punting competition. I should say I'm about 200pts behind the leader so I've gone with some value in nearly all races. I'll only be backing a couple of these though.

M1 1
M2 11
M3 7
M4 7
M5 5
M6 8
M7 4
M8 12
M9 9

Chautauqua keeps drifting
Got it as the last leg of a multi but took fixed odds that are shorter than it is now.

I just don't understand the drift, it isn't my favourite horse but it just simply blows these away regardless of track condition and bias.

It could end up SP at $2 which would be a gift

Well I backed Eximus (scratched), Srikandi (nowhere to be seen) and Malaguerra (first) so all up not too bad but I think I didn't trouble the leaderboard in my tipping comp ;-)

The winner was its stable mate, who is off for a spell after that.
Warrnambool 23/11 is the likely kick off over 1200m.
