I think he is saying that by putting 100 on each u are guaranteed a positive return

Yep backing it for $100 with sportsbet and laying it with Betfair to win $100 if she loses will cost around $50
So a win for Atlantic Jewel would mean $50 profit and if she doesn't win its a break even
you could guarantee a profit by laying her for more then your profit could be about $25 either way
