LOL, Squids you're a tripper.....

I think it should win. 3 lengths behind Black Caviar (didn't give ground) then 2.6 lengths behind All Too Hard.

Between Epaulette, Your Song, Bel Esprit and a couple of others, they might be the new upper echelon of sprinters coming thru

That reminds me, our horse Maghro who has to be retired before making a track appearance due to a strange "1 in 2000" occurrence was trained by David Jolly. He was VERY keen on the horse and believed it could have been very good.

It cost us in the vacinity of 7k for a share and we and David were shattered with the news that it would never be an athlete.

It was our first investment in the Jolly stables and we thought that we had done our 7k.

As an act of good faith, David has offered us a share in his next two year old, recently purchased at Scone.

What a great act. My hat goes off to the Jolly stables. Lets just get one on the track and hopefully have a win!

(This will be horse no6 and still a 2nd is the best we've had)

news in....

The original breeders of Maghro have been VERY generous to us and offered the following deal;

They'll take Maghro back but provide us with the first progeny and pay for the stud fee with a 3/4 brother to FRANKEL, Bullet Train, and keep paying right through the pregnancy until the foal is born.

Hey it might amount to nothing, but it's a noble gesture of the breeders and we thank them for their efforts in appeasing us.

The original horse had a genetic defect not allowing it to race? Breeders have shown amazing goodwill to offer what they have.
